Thought he was out in real-time, surprised called safe. But there's absolutely no way in effing hell that was CONCLUSIVE on replay. There just isn't. Jays have time and again this season had calls upheld against them when there was far more favorable evidence than that.

 

I agree, that was NOT a conclusive call. Seems like there is a huge variance with the replay calls this year depending on which Umpires are in the replay room.

He looks incredibly awkward but I'm not familiar with him. Probably looks the same when he's doing well.

He does. I didn't mind getting him as a bench piece, but I never fathomed that they'd use him in such a crucial role. Definitely seems to be a swing and miss from Shapiro (no pun intended)

It's frustrating to watch. Games like this happen and they're not that a big deal in isolation but when you line them up like this, it just feels like something is broken when in truth there's probably nothing fundamentally wrong other than players pressing a bit because it's getting in their head.

If they lose tonight, is it still 1 in 6 over the last 12 games? What about over the season? Still 1 in 6?

 

These last few days have been hard to watch but try to keep an even keel or you will only become more frustrated as the season winds down.
