Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Cecil is headed toward 7 losses in 26 innings. His WPA heading in to today was -1.11.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Thanks Cecil you worthless POS. Winning 1/3 despite leading for what...25/27 innings? Cecil got his 3 outs...
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I wish I was on the other end of these posts one time. If the Jays win their next one, and I'm working the Canada Games, I'll take you and your family to a Goldeyes game
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I'm sure if Cecil's wife was still on Twitter she would be receiving death threats.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Game is shaping up like Friday's game Truth
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Chalk up -1 WAR for Goins. What a piece of s***, get this guy off of the team. Goins f***ing sucks, giving up homers for days.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Cecil costing himself millions with this season. He's been an anchor.
jiminy Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Gibbons still thinks Cecil can pitch to righties
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Need a rim job? Call 1-888-69-GRANT I'm sorry your guy cost us the game, but that's the reality. He's here to make those plays and nothing else, but he failed. That cost us the win, period.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 lol. You're dumb. Cecil should never ever ever face a right handed hitter this year....period. little league management of the bullpen. Cost us another win.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 That's pretty f***ing stupid. I'm sorry. Goins is here for his bat and it didn't cost us the game, how silly of me.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I'm sorry. Goins is here for his bat and it didn't cost us the game, how silly of me. Goins is a AAA player... Cecil has to get the job done and fails time and again.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Grant, are you sure you're not watching a re-run of Goins pitching against the Indians in July? I thought Cecil coughed it up.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Easily could have been a sweep. 6 game home stand with the Angels and Twins is nice though.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Goins is a AAA player... Cecil has to get the job done and fails time and again. He was tasked with getting 3 outs and got them. Our defense throughout this series has been the cause of our problems, not the pitching.
jiminy Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It took forever for Gibbons to realize loup sucked. It's taking him the same amount of time to clue in that Cecil blows too
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 We need to trade for a lefty.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 He was tasked with getting 3 outs and got them. Our defense throughout this series has been the cause of our problems, not the pitching. Actually our offense has been the cause of some of our problems. 2 runs scored in 2 games...1 we left 12 people on base is beyond pathetic. Both those games should have been wins if we had better d...but the offense should have made those easy wins.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Grant, are you sure you're not watching a re-run of Goins pitching against the Indians in July? I thought Cecil coughed it up. In what world did Cecil not do his job? He got what should have been 3 consecutive outs and looked good doing it. Everytime you stretch your pitchers with continued defensive lapses, you expect the other team to take advantage eventually and that's what happened in all 3 of these games. It's unacceptable. We can get by with a pitching slump or hitting slump, but not being focused and missing routine plays will kill us.
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 He was tasked with getting 3 outs and got them. Our defense throughout this series has been the cause of our problems, not the pitching. The idea is to get 3 outs and not give up any runs.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 The idea is to get 3 outs and not give up any runs. He should have gotten the batter to hit that weak grounder to another fielder. What was he thinking!
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
