KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 The report on McGuire is that he's atleast a full season away. And that has more to do with his bat that the Blue Jays will probably will want to try a little longer to develop. If its not Thole its Kratz or Jimenez. Apparently Jimenez has rebuilt some value in the organization because hes been name dropped by Atkins mutiple times. Kratz can't hit a lick anymore and yet in spite of that, he's probably no worse than Thole. Jimenez has bounced back a bit offensively after the nadir that was last year. I'm still not a fan of his but he too is probably no worse than Thole.

Whenever I hear Kratz mentioned I think back to some conversation on here about how he was worth 25 million a year or something ridiculous. Always brings a smile to my face.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 The blue jays should NOT take the yankees lightly. They will want to kick the blue jays asses as much as possible to knock them out of the playoff. So the jays better bring they A game to win at least 2 out of 3 from the yankees. And the piching has to be right on against this team. Agreed. Aaron Judge and Tyler Austin are looking to make names for themselves. The Yankees are playing for the future. And the future begins now!

I like it! Keep it going todd

Questionable lineup for the Jays--but to be fair, Chad Green is awful.. how many HRs will go to the short porch tonight (he's given up 8 HR in 4 starts).
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Probably a good thing that Tabler is not going to be around for Judge being in town. " Check out the broad burly shoulders on that physical specimen" etc etc

I think Chad Green has been pretty decent so far. Obviously 38% of his flyballs are not going to continue to leave the park. Healthy K% and SwSt%. He's pretty underrated right now i would say.

Governator Community Moderator Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 We have a 1-5 lineup today Ug Just be thankful Gibby didn't put Lake in over Saunders (though the way Michael's been swinging, doesn't really matter).

Otherwise, he's been godawful (as a starter)--his future looks to be the bullpen, because he's been decent there..

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Because every team is going to try and knock them out of fist or f*** up they playoff chances. So they have to play every game like its the playoffs. I believe professional ballplayers approach every game the same way.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 That has to be the worst 6-9 in Baseball at the moment. I eagerly await the day when Upton can be used properly. Probably won't happen until next year.
