jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Nice job adding pitching depth in Bolsinger and Feldman without giving up much assets. Bolsinger with 4 years of control is very nice.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 It just sucks that our window is now and they're kind of on cruise control while every else hit the f***ing nitro button to zoom zoom away. lmao The target pool isn't nearly as deep this year as it was last year.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Tell me is there a difference between Feldman and Hellickson?
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 f*** the whole "window of opportunity" narrative. This all started with the Marlins trade. We could have had a strong sustainable farm with 1-2 playoff berths by now if those trades hadn't been made. Just look at EE/Jose situation you know one if not both are gone and they could go to Boston, add in Bogarts and Mookie that team will be so good next year along with the Yankees getting a lot better this could be the last legit chance to go for a ring.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I agree You know Feldman is a really really really good add right?
Sorrow Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I actually like the Hector Santiago trade for the Twins, frees up a lot of money for this winter.

EE/Jose going to Boston is not going to make them better then Ortiz crazy 2016 version

Rangers run differential is +9 on the season... Jays are +81. Yes they improved in areas of need and are obviously better but don't overreact here. Red Sox landing Chris Sale would be a lot scarier.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Tell me is there a difference between Feldman and Hellickson? Well, one's a starter and one's a reliever.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I'm a little disappointed, but whatever

Maybe we would have a nice Bradley/Bogaerts/Betts core if we didn't trade a bunch of our prospects for aging guys with huge salaries. Then WE would have more than enough money to sign Edwin.

I guess, I just don't want to have to wait until I am 45 or 50 years old to enjoy my next Jays run is all.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This trade deadline was mega fail on the Jays part, meh. Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I guess, I just don't want to have to wait until I am 45 or 50 years old to enjoy my next Jays run is all. You must be 44?
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make. This. Rangers got hosed in the Beltran and Lucroy deals
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 You must be 44? 28 actually.

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 28 actually. Well you won't be waiting till 45

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This. Rangers got hosed in the Beltran and Lucroy deals Who did they send to Milwaukee? I've seen nothing else on it.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Who did they send to Milwaukee? I've seen nothing else on it. Lucroy and Jeffress for Lewis Brinson and Luis Ortiz.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 What? That's my point. I'm disappointed, but "whatever". I'd rather not get hosed just to make a deal.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Orioles acquire Pearce Ughhh
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 You know Feldman is a really really really good add right? He's a good add, but I wouldn't say a "really really really good" add. Relax lol
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 He's a good add, but I wouldn't say a "really really really good" add. Relax lol Are you kidding. He's been shut down in the pen
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 He's a good add, but I wouldn't say a "really really really good" add. Relax lol He's been great in the pen, can pitch out of the rotation. He basically costs far less than Hellickson would have cost.
