Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Wow, he'll be out for awhile. Pompey should've been called up if he has an option burned.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Wow, he'll be out for awhile. Pompey should've been called up if he has an option burned. The plan is to play Zeke everyday in RF. Dumb I know.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I don't understand why Burns didn't come in if that was the case. Probably because it's not real bad but they wanted to try and give him a day off...since he played they may be now using today as the day off.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 The plan is to play Zeke everyday in RF. Dumb I know. That won't last long if Bautista is out more than the 15 days
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 So Zeke is a starter now? Should have called up Pompey to start. Right now Zeke = Saunders > Bautista > Pompey Zeke deserve some credit
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Your using quotations wrong you dufus....article said the "timetable unclear for...return" never in his article was the words "a while" used Hey idiot: Zwelling just said this on Sportsnet like 5 minutes ago. He'll be out "a while".

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Since nobody here was listening last night: Travis apparently rolled/sprained his ankle. That's why he wasn't playing yesterday and isn't playing today. Go back and watch footage of his homer, he was grimacing while rounding the bases. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, wasn't it Carrera with the rolled ankle? That's why Goins went out to RF and Trav had to cover the infield.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 So 3-4 weeks with a rehab assignment at the end sounds like best case scenario. f***, this all could have been avoided if they took him out earlier in the game which makes it the most frustrating, even if the injury could have happened any time.

And would be season ending if he needs surgery for any torn ligaments or fractures.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Positive is that Bautista's price tag is coming down.

Where are you getting this information? Or you playing the part of armchair doctor? haha
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Where are you getting this information? Or you playing the part of armchair doctor? haha That's exactly what hes doing. Speculating is fine. Its not like he's stating anything as fact.
admin Site Manager Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I'd like to know the reasoning Pompey wasn't called up. THere has to be a reason, this was the perfect chance for him to come up.

The only logical reason and its not smart. They plan to play Zeke everyday and don't want to use Pompey as the 4th Outfielder because he needs to play everyday. What should have happened is Pompey came up to play everyday and Zeke continued in his 4th OF role.

204Jays Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 The hate is strong in this thread. Carreras been decent, he's earned a chance to play until he shows otherwise.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Shatkins doesn't believe in Pompey and wants to keep him down there with good numbers as a potential trade chip? This is probably the most intelligent thing you've said on this board. I think you might be right.
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 It's a 2-6 week injury depending on severity of sprain IF no surgery is needed. If surgery is needed, he's done for the season.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 f***. I knew it. If Bautista would have just been stretching his toes a little more we could have avoided all this. I'm considering changing my name to BigCeciliani.....thoughts?

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 What's the latest on this? Going to see that specialist? The vibes I am getting regarding this aren't all that great.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 What if that was the last time we'd ever see Joey in a Jays uniform?
