RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Can't keep winning by scoring 3 runs a game. At least we didn't see Storen Cecil and the rest of the bullpen blowup brigade

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Floyd has looked good so far this year. He's looking like a nice signing. I'd keep him in that 8th inning role for now. With him and Osuna we have the start of a bullpen. Need Cecil and Storen to get it together. Chavez has also been excellent.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Pretty dissapointing start for Sanchez. Only 6 whiffs and 5 walks is very bad.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Osuna is such a goddamn treat to watch. Do they give him any chance to start next year or is he closer 4 life now??
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Chavez has also been excellent. Bullpen tiers: Very good - Osuna, Floyd, Chavez OK - Biagini, Girodo (? extra SSS) Bad - Tepera, Storen, Cecil, Venditte
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Bullpen tiers: Very good - Osuna, Floyd, Chavez OK - Biagini, Girodo (? extra SSS) Bad - Tepera, Storen, Cecil, Venditte I still expect Cecil to be "very good" all said and done. Frankly, if he isn't we are f***ed.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 you must wonder if his calf is still bugging him or if it is still all mental

If Cecil is still struggling by the time Loup returns, maybe he'd go on the DL and do a rehab/minor league stint for a couple weeks.

Cecil should move up to good at some point. I hope Storen can but I'm not sold.

Oh hes been very good. Just looked like his old self yesterday as far as fastball command goes.

I think you're selling Floyd and Chavez a bit short, and I'm not trying to be a GD, just kinda sad that most people don't realize that these two have been every bit as good as Osuna. Really, if Cecil returns to elite form and Loup pitches like he has before, we have a pretty f***ing good bullpen. Those things are far from long shots.
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Oh hes been very good. Just looked like his old self yesterday as far as fastball command goes. Despite not having his best stuff, he rarely looked to be in any trouble or in any danger of having a bad inning. Going deep with 7 innings when our biggest problem is the bullpen was a huge plus for me.

I realize that they've been every bit as good (Chavez has been markedly better actually) I just don't trust that it will continue.
