Governator Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Outside of Blue Jays fans, I'd say the majority of MLB fans think Bautista is juicing. Just because you're a super homer doesn't mean I'm trolling. ******** just as we win you have to say Bautista is struggling because he could be juicing. Go away
gbill2004 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 When? BAN THIS PERSON^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You sure know how to fly off the handle quickly. Do you have anger issues in your life?

nmrch Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Gibby needs to relegate Storen to blowouts until he finds his velocity, he looks horrificly bad right now.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Goins won't stick though bro, especially with that career ending two week slump he's been in. Stop, love his glove, he's a 25 guy, but...

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 I can always make one here(GDT), if others don't. 3-1 on the road against the Rays, it's a real thing, lol. My back is killing me, won't go anywhere.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Sorry, if folk listened last week he brought up a lethargic BABIP, I was going to say something about his near and over 600 BABIP in the first 2 weeks, even if he could meet a medium, league medium the player is far worse. Replacement level. That's what Goins will be if he doesn't step his BB% back up. Otherwise, useless.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Maybe a 25 man glove, but Barney's been twice the player. We'll see.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Author Posted April 30, 2016 Stick up for him, Gruber.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Great win by the boys against a solid pitcher. Hopefully Donaldson started a fire beneath em all. Also great to see Ryan Goins put a charge into one. If he can even hit at a little below league average he'd be a nice asset. My buddy absolutely hates Goins, he calls him "Ryan Groins" so I'm gonna have to razz him big-time tonight:cool:
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Lots of positives from tonight's game 1. The bats seemed to be making better contact resulting in 4 homeruns. Even Tulo and Martin made contact at least 1 time. 2. Smoak came through with two 2 out RISP RBIs. 3. Sanchez was great imo. Missing bats, getting ground balls, and most importantly using his offspeed pitches a lot better. His curve and changeup were good tonight. 4. Increased velocity from everyone but most importantly from the bullpen. Cecil looked much better as a result and Storen was good for 1 AB and bad for another. 5. Bautista and Edwin had better ABs, could be a huge game from them soon.
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 When Travis comes back Barney should be the fifth infielder.

TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 What's great about baseball is that it's far less of a team game than any of the other major sports. You hear of all these fixing scandals in the NBA, Soccer, Tennis ETC but you figure it'd be tremendously hard to fix a baseball game because everyones playing for their own numbers and if they're a pitcher and purposely suck to lose a game they won't be around the league long.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I do recall reading rumors that there was talk of Jeff Locke (starter for the Pirates) throwing games one season. Haven't really looked into it but his stats show he was a Jekyll and Hyde kinda arm.

TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) When I think of baseball as a whole I don't see it as being as much of a team-game like Basketball, Soccer, Football or hockey. The beauty in baseball is the continuing one on one battles between the pitcher and batter. Of course defense matters, and it takes a team effort for everyone to produce. It's a hard thing to articulate and perhaps I should try before drinking several daiquiri's, but I'm just killing a little time before I head out. Edited April 30, 2016 by TheGrandslamMan
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
