BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 The admin of this site made a bunch of troll accounts on the official MLB Jays forum to attract people here. That's my understanding of the situation anyways. And now that there's too much traffic and it's causing server capacity issues, he's stepping up his troll account here to make us go away. Sounds like Jesse "The Body" Ventura needs to investigate this alleged far reaching conspiracy, with such devastating implications for humanity.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 No. Just, no. The Dogg was on another level. Hurl has confirmed that RA (not Dickey....just the dick) is indeed THE Dogg.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 And puphound, and jaysfan2014, and probably 4-5 other accounts. There's legitimately a severely disturbed person who has been posting on the forum for over a decade using hundreds (thousands?) of accounts. He has different personalities with completely different posting styles and points of view, and they talk to each other. It's kind of the forum dirty little secret. Jaysfan2014 isn't the same guy. Dogg isn't even the most severely disturbed troll on the board anymore. LTR/BigJohn has made hundreds of accounts, upwards of 5 in a single day. Very psychotic.

FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 What was the Jays record after JD gave his 'git r done' league speech?
Guy Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 The offense is not what we're used to but we're also 11th in baseball in runs scored.

KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Sure sounds like he's blaming Gibby for running a poor spring training, and for the slow start to the season. Hasn't it been a trend the Jays look terrible in April last few seasons? I mentioned before maybe Gibby is babying the vets too much. Something isn't right for them to s*** the bed every April.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 What was the Jays record after JD gave his 'git r done' league speech? They lost 9 of the next 16 games.

I mentioned before maybe Gibby is babying the vets too much. Something isn't right for them to s*** the bed every April. This goes back to like 2012. It's mostly a different crew each time out, though? Probably just a frustrating coincidence IMO. Hard to imagine it's on Gibby babying the vets since the 2012 and 2013 squads never really recovered anyway (and Gibby wasn't around in 2012). The 2014 and 15 squads both stepped up nicely, though the big time injuries in July 2014 kept that season from hitting the next level. Last year, IIRC, the offense was all aces while the pitchers just kept giving up runs. This year it's the other way around for the most part. Hard to really find any patterns outside of the name of the month.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 They lost 9 of the next 16 games. So Donaldson has negative motivational speech WAR?
baseballsss Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 A pint is on the table one day for anyone who can break this all down for me in an orderly, understandable way. This is fascinating to me from a psychological perspective. Well.. Once upon time on the official BJMB there was a guy who had different accounts, I think the longest account he went with was BeckettisDogg but also used some with puppy in it. He trolled the other message board for years(over 15?) but the mods would rarely ever ban people on that board so we had to put up with it. May of 2014 all these multiple accounts showed up that was trolling the s*** out of the board at the same time there was discussion about switching boards cause the mods sucked. That's when juiced(Admin) said he would make a new board and here we are. Theeee end. P.S.- When we say troll he didn't troll baseball wise. He knew absolutely nothing about ball. Now whenever you see the expression "dogg" come up that's what people are referencing.

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Good for Donaldson. He should call out the horrible bullpen soon.

nextyear Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Although Donaldson was surely talking about hitters, the player that could help the Blue Jays the most would be Sanchez by going back to the bullpen. As long as the Blue Jays have a weak bullpen then 2016 will continue to be like April - July 2015.

It's not like the price tag for a competent reliever is through the roof.

After the Royals good bullpen a lot of teams are actually trying to replicate that. So the price tag might be a little higher than you think.

TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Love Josh Donaldson, helluva player; but I don't really see how this can be productive in any way. It's not as if these are the types of players who are struggling due to a lack of effort. Guys like Martin and Tulo wanna produce as much as anyone in the league. Great forum BTW Long time Jays fan here, looking forward to reading through all of the topics.

TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Thanks Do you guys have any concern with the lackluster start to the season? I think there's too many big-bats in the lineup for these guys to continue to struggle like they are. Of course on the other hand the health of Martin is crucial and I think you need more offensive production at first-base in this division than players like Smoak and Domingues, so I'm not quite as confident in the lineup as I was during the excitement of last year. Oh, another thing: Do you guys know when Devon Travis is slated to return? Goins isn't doing the offense any favors. Sorry if it's already been discussed somewhere here.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I think Travis back in the lineup will get things rolling Something like Saunders JD JB EE Travis Smoak Pillar Martin Tulo Batting Martin and Tulo at the bottom imo is perfect cuz they are usually either auto outs, draw a walk, or hit doubles/ hr's which rolls nicely into the top of the order. Ned Yost isn't our manager so I know this probably never happens, but it would be nice.
TheGrandslamMan Verified Member Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I don't get a chance to watch quite as many National League games as I'd like, but how much of Tulo's success do you guys think was as a result of playing in Coors Field? Countless power guys who were having down years play there and are instantly revitalized. I realize age and injuries play a major factor, but I don't hear many local analysts mention the Coors Field advantage.
baloojayz Verified Member Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Tulo's struggles imo seem to be more with his approach or getting over matched/age I think the majority of his hitting success came from being able to hit flat fastballs in the NL. In the AL you see more movement and at times he looks like he can't catch up to the straight one's either (age/injury as you said)

In the AL you see more movement and at times he looks like he can't catch up to the straight one's either (age/injury as you said) That's too bad. I was grade-A excited when I heard Troy Tulowitzki was becoming a Blue Jay. Just thinking about a Donaldson/Bautista/Encarnacion/Tulowitzki lineup had me giddy as a little child at Christmas. But I tell ya, I have not been impressed. Not one bit. I suppose the Rockies wouldn't have had any intention of shipping their face of the franchise star player outta town unless they knew something was majorly wrong with him.
