I don't know for sure. Most of it is probably because I dont conform to some popular opinions and while I respect others and I still voice my opinion. Some can't stand certain opinions and put me on IL.

I got a lot of complaints about gbill. Part of the issue was that overall quality of discussion was so low that it made it hard to single him out. In his defense he did back down when he sensed that he had gone too far.
