GDT: April 15th Jays vs Red Sox 1/4 - Dickey vs Porcello

These GDT seem to have turned into what we all tried to get away from on the old board. I feel like a lot of the people here would fit much better over there. I should probably just learn to use the ignore feature a lot more than I do.

 

My only beef is Dickey, so maybe for the future I will not post on here during his starts to try and not throw too much shade to this board.

This thread is embarrassing. Dickey has pitched very well this season. Just getting BABIP'd.

 

Blame the Red Sox for making some good swings and driving the ball. The pitcher can only do so much.

4 innings and one ER is not exactly "domination". But he kept us in that game, I'll give him that. But still, he's not a reliable starter that you should trust in the playoffs.

The whole point of a GDT is to be reactionary, the good posters are the ones who realise this and it doesn't bother them , instead of cry and moan over and over about it and not realise it is human nature. Grow up.

Sports are emotional and people are passionate about it, being reactionary is to be expected. It's the heat of the moment. I agree some reactions are way over the top and taken too far, but honestly, this place isn't nearly as bad or as brutal as other message boards I've observed.

The GDT thread is a place to talk about the game that is currently on. That's it. Yes, some people are reactionary and stupid and though that's expected to some extent, it is not the purpose. Some people just like to have a space to discuss the game.
