West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 In small defence of Thole, he plays once every five games and his one task is to catch the most difficult pitch in the world. I don't care, this clown is making $800,000 this year. f*** that, such a waste of money for a dude that will catch 20 games max.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Smoak, Calabello, Thole, Dickey suxxxxx

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Hell catch more than 20 games, probably closer to 40. So he makes $20,000 per flipping game, gross.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Dickey gives a run back here, it is the Dickey special.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 but that's his only job My point is that if we expect rust from guys who haven't hit for a while, we have to expect the same from a guy who gets fewer reps than other backup Cs in the league.

When I come back from 3 days off I don't have "rust" to cop out on if I suck at my job.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 When I come back from 3 days off I don't have "rust" to cop out on if I suck at my job. We get it. Just stop please.

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Do you catch knuckleballs for a living? Little bit different than a desk job.. If Dickey threw you 10 knuckle balls do you think you could catch 8/10?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Anyone want tickets for tomorrow's Raptors game? Have an extra pair that my friend's dad can't use.

Really doesn't apply here. He should have caught every pitch Dickey has thrown since he cam up last year. Every one including bullpen, just random throws...all of them. He hasn't and that's most likely the problem. He plays 1 time every 5 games and only catches a knuckle ball. I haven't seen Bostons catchers have the problem with their guy like Thole has. Very similar knuckleball

JaysFanSmith Verified Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 If Dickey threw you 10 knuckle balls do you think you could catch 8/10? No one here could and neither can you... Yes Dickey sucks, Let it go
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I can't believe we gave up Syndergaard for this old fart.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Saunders accuracy seems to be off so far this year.
