glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Leon goes, Venditte comes up and looks good. Dumn decision number one from ST reversed. Now send Zeke down and bring Ceciliani up and dumn decision number two can be corrected. It will be a domino effect. First Venditte. Then Pillar will be moved off the lead off spot. Then Smoak will start getting the bulk of the 1B at bats. Then a capable 4th OF will be called up. And so on. Have to survive this derpy phase and then once the bats heat up we will hopefully see some good baseball.
CultofShatkins Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 That would also be a dumb decision--Ceciliani isn't hitting in Buffalo right now. After 13 AB? Come on, really?
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 That's his benefit. If a line up has a righty between 2 lefties he's still capable. We'll have a good situation when Morales is back. Also when Loup comes back.

I doubt a 4th OF makes that big of a difference, actually I like having Carerra on the bench for pinch running situations.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Venditte reminds me of Shawn Camp. Not overly impressive but let's see what he can do
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 So Goins is hitting leadoff tomorrow for sure.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Tell me a team who claims Carerra off waivers lol. And also: why anyone should give a f*** if by some miracle he were claimed. I'd be ecstatic if he were lost to another poor team.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 He should be used as a LOOGY. Not so great vs. Righties but if need be he can hang in there Either as a LOOGY or in a full inning where a RH is sandwiched between 2 LH.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Any reason we're not flipping the dickey and stroman starts? Really don't want to see dickey get BTFO again by the sox Lol, dumbass
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 That would also be a dumb decision--Ceciliani isn't hitting in Buffalo right now. Carrera isn't hitting at MLB and has showcased his limitations for over a year. Might as well go with Ceciliani unless you're all that broken up over potentially losing Carrera.

In fact, just one above average skill can make someone a useful bench player. If Carrera were a good base runner or could hit a little or fielded well there would be a way to put that single skill to good use but he literally does nothing well. Heck if Ceciliani were merely slightly below average at all those things but not flat out terrible at anything, he'd probably still be an improvement.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Cause as much as Stroman probably likes doing this I don't want Gibby having him do it any more. G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I don't miss this LOL me neither. That is probably the worst swing I have ever seen. He was a pretty decent 4th OF though
CHRIS Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 That is probably the worst swing I have ever seen. Alfredo Griffin
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Alfredo Griffin Holy crap! I don't think I've ever seen that poor of an AB even in little league.
