G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 wat Yep. Osuna was available for the 9th in game 3. Storen was available for the 9th yesterday That's literally what he said
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Gibby is Ned Yost. The similarities are so troubling.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 How about a 5 out save for Storen WTF not?

Storen was available for the 9th yesterday That's literally what he said Gotta save em to face the bottom of the order and stuff in the 9th cuz saves Glad we have such a progressive thinker managing this team.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Gibby is Ned Yost. The similarities are so troubling. How many years did they manage together in KC?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 How many years did they manage together in KC? Too many would appear to be the answer.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Gibby is Ned Yost. The similarities are so troubling. The overexposure to so much Diet Coke has rotted his brain. He never used to be this bad. But you're right in that he has become Ned Yost.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Gibby is Ned Yost. The similarities are so troubling. Wouldn't Yost have used his 8th inning guy for the 8th inning? If both Storen and Osuna were available, it wasn't Yost-level rigidity. It was literally just stupidity.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 He never used to be this bad. Yes, this is the troubling part.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I'm.presuming he felt Osuna was essentially not usable yesterday Osuna was available for game 3 but didn't pitch and then was unavailable for game 4? None of this holds up. Unless he's lying about who was and wasn't available, he just threw all strategy out the window and conceded the game.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Gibbons "I will save Storen for the 9th inning, with that i'll get a save for my fantasy team. bwt my team is worse than the Boxy' team"
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 To be fair, Gaston and Farrell probably would have done something equally dumb. Who do we have to kill to get a decent manager up in here?!?!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Yep. Osuna was available for the 9th in game 3. Storen was available for the 9th yesterday That's literally what he said No, he said the other way around. Storen was going to close game 3, Osuna was going to close game 4, he brought up the throwing too much in the pen again though, still dumn.

It also makes Gibbons look even more foolish.

Well then, bonus that Leon blew it and now Storen will be even more fresh to save more games! Because every game will be a win by 3 runs or less and we must plan appropriately.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 He wanted to see what the kid had, bro. Yeah I mean it's not like they literally just spent 45 days in Spring Training. "So did you just give him the job without seeing him at all, ever?"

"So did you just give him the job without seeing him at all, ever?" He had to see what he was like under pressure, duh. He wanted to see if he couldn't handle pressure like Hendriks, or handled it like a man like Miguel Castro.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Storen was available for yesterday game, but for the 9th inning lol wat

Yeah I mean surely the prospect of not making the big club out of ST isn't enough pressure for a guy to pitch under. Must up the stakes by putting the thing that 24 other proven professionals are fighting for at risk. What I'm saying is if Gibby wanted to see if Leon would suck under pressure, he could have just invited the guy for nice long soak in a private hot tub.

You know, not all guys like to put Dinger's in their mouths. You'll be hearing from my Twitter representatives. E: I feel like this autocorrect blunder has staying power

But if this is an actual rational explanation then..... http://i.imgur.com/RcQAq6x.gif
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Did Gibby misspeak there? Maybe he meant Osuna was available for the 9th?

sawyerford Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 If we fire Gibby you know that we will hire Wedge right? He was hired as a advisor in the organization. He is 100000x worse than Gibby, and Gibby isn't even that bad. Everyone can relax because Leon is gone to Buffalo when Estrada comes back. Gibby > Wedge

Gibby > Wedge I expect Gibby to last the season and frankly if there was a manager change I'd much rather wait until the offseason and possibly make a play for someone like Sandy Alomar Junior than doing it now and having to throw Wedge or one of the coaches in there on an interim basis.
sawyerford Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Its the 4th game of the season and people are already talking about hiring a new manager after this season. I see no problem with Gibby and i don't see him getting fired. After bringing in Leon everyone has their pitchforks out. If Gibby gets fired their is a very good chance Wedge is manager, he was manager with the Indians when Shapiro was there. f*** Wedge would be a nightmare.
