He has an actual swing and miss curveball and a decent change now, according to the third inning.

That curve is looking pretty 2 to 8 now. Before it seemed more 12 to 6.

Yeah I noticed that. 2-8 can be pretty tough on righties but lefties can see it easily. He needs to go back to the 12-6

Even then, his fastball is still terrible. He seems to be overthrowing. It's ridiculous he is not picking up on Stroman who will tone it down for more command.

The 12-6 rainbow curve was a terrible pitch. It's much better as a tighter 1-7 or 2-8 slurve.

I think last year he tried to tone it down a bit for command and it just didn't work. Didn't throw more strikes and got hammered more.

Dude needs to pitch like a young stallion. Gas and sass.

Biggest thing tonight is the changeup. I've seen like 6+ whiffs on it now.

add Sanchez in all of your fantasy leagues

OK so this change-up is legit?

Those last few changes were super legit. Whether or not he can do that on the reg is dubious.

I gotta say, I am cautiously optimistic with what I've seen, particularly the change. The curve on 3-2 against Longo was nice also.

Yes. I hope that he has a massive and completely unexpected skill change, which nobody had any rational reason to expect, and turns into a good starter. I sincerely hope that this happens.

You mean like mastering a change up?

I'd like to see what he can do with more than 1 start and against a better hitting team.

This is probably a very fair statement. Or even finishing this start.

did I not vote in that? Definitely would've said 4/5 because I'm a sheeple that sticks with the herd clearly

That curve looks like filth

Please take him out and let him leave on a high, high note Gibby

The change with fade looks pretty sic too actually. I'm not going to pass judgment, but I did buy a few rookie cards of him on The Pit tonight.

I'm gonna be one of the posters in this thread who will look stupid and i could't be happier. Sanchez showed me everything today, decent command of the FB, a CB that was consistently effective and and flashes of a plus changeup. Hope he keeps this up.

If he's this quick of a learner, have Stro show him his Slider next!

I don't think anyone (save for Tercet) looks like an idiot. We are all Jays fans! The concerns about Sanchez starting, Pillar hitting lead off, etc. are justified fact based concerns. Players can improve, and if they do, ultimately making the Jays better; we all benefit!

It's almost as if a young pitcher is showing improvement. Wow!

I was a Sanchez non-believer, but if he proves me wrong and becomes an ace, or even a solid MLB starter, I'll be thrilled.

It's when I'm wrong the other way (expect greatness, get a dud) where I get pissed.

More Sanchez starts with 0 walks, tons of GB's, and a good K rate? Bring it on.
