Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Well here we are in the postseason for a second straight year. I have to admit that back in my teens (JP regime) I had my doubts that I'd ever see us in the playoffs. Needless to say this is a special time for all Jays fans. I wanted to say cheers to my extended Jays family, some of whom I've discussed (or argued) baseball with for over a decade now. Hopefully this run continues to the World Series, but if not I'm sure we'll have an offseason full of interesting speculation and discussion. Cheers to you guys. (Glenfiddich 18 yr old single malt)
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Texas is luckiest team in the MLB right? A run differential of +8 and still being a 95 win team seems pretty bizarre. That luck is about to run out

That luck is about to run out Lowest RD to make the post season since the O's posted 65 years ago. Yes that's a 57 RD from the old record. Idk how they have the best record in the AL
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Russ Martin injured his pinky (split it open, wtf?) during celebrations he said he's good to go, but still

CBlake Verified Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Good to see the police have opened an investigation into the person who threw the beer can and have asked for them to turn themselves in. Apparently they have very clear photos of the said person. I am curious was anyone arrested for throwing stuff on the field when it got littered during game 5 of last year's ALDS? This type of stuff is just crazy, dangerous and completely unacceptable.

You can see in the video within a few seats where it came from.

admin Site Manager Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Anyone know if that MLBTV discount package from a couple months ago covers post season too?
CHRIS Verified Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Anyone know if that MLBTV discount package from a couple months ago covers post season too? I can't say for sure with respect to this season, but I signed up last year on a mid-season discount package and it included playoffs.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 @BlueJays had an ill-timed tweet promoting those Red Budweiser cans. It promptly got deleted after many people pointed out the beer can kerfuffle yesterday. What's the reason they don't like distributing them in plastic cups?

STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 I saw on a YouTube video that someone else threw a beer from that same outfield area right after Edwin hit his walk-off home run.

West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Just got an email from the Blue Jays for a survey for give away days. The questions asked are making it seem like they might give you an option to buy bobble heads before the game in order to skip the lines.

I don't care about bobbleheads but I have a few friends that collect them to an extreme...I think if you want it...show up early

I already pay about $45-$60 for bobbleheads anyway.

It takes longer, right now they just hand you the can. Man to add to that they pour draft beer into pint glasses in the 200 level bars. Now one of those being thrown could really be dangerous.

spats Verified Member Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Will Gibby get any credit for starting Estrada? I think these guys ( Estrada and Stroman ) are repaying him for the confidence he's shown in them. Good on you Gibby...keep going with your gut feelings.

I knew he was going to go that way, and there was nothing wrong with it.
