Is this crew any good? I haven't really heard any of them do a live game.

This is probably the best American national broadcast crew in the business. I live in NYC so I see Ron Darling doing the Mets color work, he's great. Very observant, knows what's going on at all times. Cal Ripken is the same. Ernie isn't as animated as other guys but I like his work as a baseball announcer. This is a way better crew than the fox shitshow that calls baseball (although they do have John Smoltz now, who's good).

FYI if we make the ALDS, we'll probably get TBS's second crew, which is led by Brian Anderson and I believe Dennis Eckersley. I also like that crew, and Anderson might be better than Ernie Johnson.

The moneyline for tomorrows game right now is Jays -148. that translates to a ~61% probability. I expected it to be a bit higher but i'm guessing the bookies are penalizing us for the mediocre bullpen

Ugh Dennis Eckersley is brutal. If anyone listened to a Red Sox broadcast this year when he was on, it was intolerable.

Johnson is decent as a play-by-play guy, but if you want a guy who gets loud on big plays, then Johnson's gonna piss you off. Gotta agree with you on Darling, he is one of the best colour guys out there for sure.

Brian Anderson is IMO much better than Johnson, knowledge is good and he gets really excited about big plays, something I personally like. Normally does PBP for the Brewers and he's criminally underrated, because....he calls Brewers games.

I think you are confusing ERA with wins. Even though ERA is heavily flawed from variables outside one's control, it's still a telling story and typically speaking the best pitchers in baseball tend to have the lowest ERA.

Cause that's incredibly tame. He doesn't even yell or shout after strike outs. He's incredibly stoic
