Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 So the hand will hurt less on the 8th slot? If he's too hurt to play then he shouldn't be in any spot in the lineup. If he's healthy enough to play then he should be at the top where he belongs. A beat up Travis is still better than a healthy Goins. He's probably playing at like 75% right now

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 They are getting BABIP'd to death
puphood Verified Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 The infield looked weak in particular these last two games against the twins. Letting the Twins score 7 runs a game tells you something is a miss or maybe its a blimp and I need some Ativan. Mid relief just Sux. Grilli is a hero every time he gets on the mound and arguably the best contract this FO signed. Odds makers have the Jays at best finishing their season in the ALCS finals.....prove them wrong...

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Is Donaldson the best offensive player this team has ever had. Bautista in his prime 2010/2011 was amazing, also Delgado 2002/2003 had some amazing years Amazing trade that is.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 If you had a choice 2000 Delgado 2011 Bautista 2016 Donaldson. 1987 Bell 1993 Olerud
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Wow super happy how this weekend went. Missed the games except listened to the end of today's. I sure hope this is the offensive boost this team needed down the homestretch, especially with Baltimore next. If we can match their bats we can definitely outpitch them. Looks like I got some highlights to catch up on. Boom boom boom
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Last year at this time we were 72-56 with a game and a half up on the Yankees.

They are throwing out 3 god awful pitchers in a row for the series, while the jays roll out Estrada Happ and Sanchez. Woot to a 6 game win streak!

Every one is massively in our favour. And the offense is KICKIN''. Hope they can keep it up.

STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Delgado should have won AL MVP in 2000 instead of Nomar.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Delgado should have won AL MVP in 2000 instead of Nomar. Nomar was outstanding that year (slashed .372/.434/.599 with a 154 wRC+ despite Delgado's power output) and put up more WAR (although not by much) thanks to well above average defence.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Delgado should have won AL MVP in 2000 instead of Nomar. Giambi won that year. (Erstad should've won though, but eh, different times)
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I was about to say where did you Nomar from lol. Great season though.
