HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Travis again is out with his injury. I bet they will say again tonight that they hope he will play tomorrow. At this point, just put him on the DL and backdate him... It's not the first time an injury not considered serious turned out to be

Any other sport they'd be shamed by their teamates, suck it up and get their f'ing ass out there. It isn't April anymore.

Hitting a 95 mph fastball is a pretty precise equation. Even a slight injury can make it next to impossible.

Apparently Travis said he is good to go....so it's "I need another hamburger" Gibby choosing to keep him out.

CBlake Verified Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Attendance = tickets sold, not the actual turnstile crowd Is the National League still turnstile or did they align with the AL?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 True, but where have all the Lou Gehrigs and Cal Ripkens gone? Good point but I'm not even sure putting out iron men like that is a good idea. Teams are becoming more careful in managing their player's health, as they should.

BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 So Ezequiel Carrera f***ing sucks. Down to a 79 wRC+ and ~0.3 fWAR after tonight's game. We were all right when we bitched about his inclusion on the roster! While we're on the topic, minus whale laugh at fangraphs: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/what-did-the-blue-jays-do-to-ezequiel-carrera/

BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 f*** Pompey. I was so pumped for him and he has been s*** lately. League average hitter in AAA with questionable defense. He's close to bust territory.

You can't really call him a bust he was a 16th round pick. His sulking really hasn't helped him. Having his little brother tweet his frustration is kind of a lame move. He deserved to be called over several guys but clearly Atkins and Shapiro had a plan for him and he's disappointed.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Wow those Pompey gifs are painful to watch. I didn't realize he was having such a hard time in AAA
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Who's roster spot is Navarro going to replace? He's going to join the team on Monday so probably a reliever will get sent down.
