Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Just a question for you value guys. Forgetting this season, say November and you had to pick a starter to go forward with, would you take Noah Syndergaard or Aaron Sanchez? Syndergaard seems to be getting the higher accolades, but arm trouble always seems to be just around the corner. Sanchez was pretty universally disliked until last year, but has had a really good season. I don't have an educated opinion, just wondering what consensus would be. Sanchez

Sanchez is doing it in the AL East right now, so I'd take him. There's always that question with other pitchers, no matter how talented.

Sanchez has been an absolute stud this year but Thor might be the second best starter in baseball.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Thor, but the arm injuries are concerning Read an article that Pedro Martinez asked the Mets to meet with Thor. Martinez was concerned that Thor was throwing 100% V too often and that it wasn't sustainable. he said that he did the same when he came up and it wasn't necessary or something that he could do in perpetuity. I never heard if the meeting between them took place.
puphood Verified Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Big need in the Bull Pen. all the bats in the world are going to do squat in Oct. with out some extra help in the pen. Grilli has been such bright spot with his consistency and positive attitude........

Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Quick question. Hopefully someone can help. I just got mlbtv because I'm away for the week. I'm going to be out until bout an hour after the game starts tonight. Is there a way on mlbtv that I can begin the game from the start at that time without seeing the score?

I know you can turn the scores off so that they don't show up when you open up the home page. I'm not sure about starting the game from the beginning while the game is on though.

nmrch Verified Member Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 If he completely washes out do we celebrate? no, that's so gross. Syndergaard is an electric talent, i hope he has the hall of fame career he's capable of having.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 BVH Atkins essentially said the team hopes to survive with their catching depth until September, and then call-up AJ Jimenez.
