Interesting. Not sure why you'd bother trading him at what's likely the lowest value he'd ever have.

He cost Ben Revere and cash before this. Can't imagine you get much lower than that to begin with.

Yeah, you're looking at a C level prospect at best for Storen at this rate. i guess just saving a few bucks might be beneficial on its own if someone takes his entire remaining salary.

This made me look him up

Revere hitting .123 and has cost the Nationals 0.8 WAR so far. Ouch.

See this is the same mistake people keep makong, Revere was injured on opening day and has missed a month. Revere will be back at around .300 before end of season, he trends that way for his career.

Thank you Michael Saunders!

(And the trade for Bruce not happening)

Jay Bruce has a 123 wRC+ interestingly, but a -9 UZR somehow. Same with DRS.

All this PNC Park talk excites me. I'm going this year in August to see Pirates vs Astros.

Just take a good walk inside and around the park. The sights are amazing. The whole ballpark is in a fantastic location in the city.

For me, today is the day to decide on the Blue Jays season. If the Blue win then I figure 3/4 at Target Field shows some potential, but if the Blue Jays can only win 2/4 against the Twins then it is time to revert to a casual fan and just follow the scores and stats on MLB (and look forward to the start of the NFL season, although it won't be the same without Peyton Manning).

If you're a true Blue Jays fan, then it should be somewhat impossible to revert to a casual in the month of May,or at any point really.

The Vikings are going to own the NFL for the next five years at least.

The Blue Jays should get a bit more offense with Barney at 2nd base, and Paredes can pinch hit, with Goins in defensively if Paredes pinch hits for Barney.

I like this line up, as good as it gets before Travis returns.

Hopefully we can stop jawing at all and sundry, that way, the direction can't be mistaken. It's time to let our play to do the talking until we have a record to boast about.

He's a FA at the end of the year. We might be able to QO him if he keeps this up though.

*If* the Jays are still around .500 at the deadline and don't look like a contender there are certainly a lot of pieces they could move to get quality talent back.

Bautista

EE

Saunders

Estrada

Happ

Floyd

Chavez

Add in the fact you would have a ton of money to spend and you can shorten up the retool that looked like it would last a few years.

If team is going to be dismantled, add JD to the list. His value will never been higher, his prime will be wasted with a rebuilding Jays, and the return would accelerate the rebuild.

I hate this talk on May 22nd. There is no way Shapiro is tearing this down right now.

Thats why I said if they were still sucking at the deadline. I want this team to win as badly as anyone.

I just can't see us being 500 without some sort of serious changes.

Who could have guessed this bandaid bullpen would have been a problem? Oh wait, we all did.

Nobody thought the bullpen would be problem. In fact everyone thought it would be a strength with Storen, Cecil, and Osuna.

This won't happen, we won't be blowing up the team, just a mini rebuild. We will sign Donaldson long term or ride out his contract.
