KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Oh god the last two games by Zeke there is now way Gibby is giving him up Yeah seems unlikely but I don't get delaying the roster move by one day either (if what Sorrow says is true).
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Rumour that I've been hearing is Matt Dominguez. Dominguez can backup the corner and hit right-handed. Makes sense but the one day delay doesn't.

Well exactly there is not bonus for hutch staying up. No way he calls in today to pitch and your left with a short bench. I don't think this is the reason because it makes 0 sense.

I don't know if it's for injury reasons (does another reliever need to DL) and we have him here right away if so.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 If we are going to keep him today and not bother using him, then we absolutely have to keep him for tomorrow and make him piggy back with Dickey.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Are we convinced that Ryan Goins is better than Alexi Casilla (Buffalo's starting SS)?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Brett Cecil is overrated as f*** on this board. 0-4 with 4 blown leads already. No other elite relievers goes through these garbage spells. This bullpen as a whole should be ashamed of itself for all the leads they have blown. We could easily be 4 games over .500. Please return Sanchez to the bullpen.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Any word on the roster move yet? Not being able to pinch hit for one of the 4 replacement level players we had in the lineup tonight was not fun.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I see, and they can get him out of here and another guy up before the game tomorrow? The other guy is probably already in Toronto. Usually they come up the night before.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Anyone extremely disappointed in Stroman's demeanor last night in the dugout? I don't think he was mad at Cecil at all, but him roidraging and reacting against the inherited runners scoring isn't exactly supportive. Not to mention he went to hit the showers after his line was finished. Go stick on the bench and support your team until the end of the inning.

Some pitchers hit the showers right away and prefer to not even watch their line. I don't think there's really an established etiquette there. The reaction was poor though and Zaun (correctly) called it out on air.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 @jonmorosi #BlueJays are 0-7 in games decided by their relievers, 10-4 when starters are pitchers of record. The 7 bullpen losses are most in @MLB.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Trash ownership should have signed at least one FA RP. Pick one out of a f***ing hat and we probably have 2 more wins already. Or if Storen was the "closer" pitching in 3 run games while Osuna was cleaning up the messes in the 7th and 8th. But hey, savez because of familiarity...and stuff.

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Ross Atkins on the Bullpen. “There’s reason to believe our bullpen will get things turned around and that’s what we spend our time and energy on,” Atkins said. “Thinking about how we can help those guys, putting them in better situations, compliment them better and we’ll continue to think about that until we get it right. “My focus is how do I help Pete Walker and John Gibbons. That’s where I spend my time and energy. I’m certainly available to those guys because I’m a link to the information we have in the front office and certainly we’ll pool our collective experiences and get all of the intellect together possible to make sure that we’re being collaborative that way. “I’m going to them with, ‘Hey, how can we help on the analytical side? How can we help from studying things further? What experiences or contacts do we have that we can look at things a different way to make sure we’re getting all of the information possible to these guys?’” source: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/gm-ross-atkins-admits-concern-blue-jays-bullpen/ This could be applied to more than just the bullpen. It's good that he's communicating to Walker and Gibbons at least.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Dominguez playing 3B tonight. JD is at DH again. Barney at 2B, which isn't surprising. Also, no Carrera, and of course, the personal catcher is in there.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 If only the Jays had someone like Valencia on the team. But him leaving directly lead to the 2nd half surge last year so chemistry > all.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Dominguez over Goins is great news I would have been surprised if Goins were in over Dominguez.
