Cecil will be getting minor league invites next year at this pace. He's costing himself 15-20 million dollars conservatively

Cecil is this years Loup. He gets a dribbler - doesn't cover 1B. KK gets an ump call on a 2 strike CB check, and then promptly mashes a 2B on a FB. Then he gives up a winning hit on a line to an absolute s*** hitter.

We had runners on 3B twice with 2 outs and never cashed them in to go ahead.

We should have been more careful with Logan all game. Granted Guyer hit a couple lasers into bad luck Forsythe is just smoking hot right now.

Sooooo frustrating.

Please no one defend Rogers ever again. Best team in 20+ years and we couldn't even sign a single RP. I mean Lowe, Madson, O'day, Kelley, Blanton, f***ing anyone please.

To be fair, even if they did sign one of those guys, they would have been used like Chavez and Floyd have been used so far. Storen has been s*** and Cecil is 0-5 (s***** luck and off/on command). Practically nothing would have changed if they signed a reliever, unless Gibby trusted that reliever ahead of Storen or Cecil.

Fix those two and the pen is fine.

Michael Bourn has 30 High A plate appearances of 110 wRC+ and a .250/.344/.321 slash

they sent him to High A?? Not Buffalo?

Did we hear how Travis did in his extended spring game? With Goins sitting at a sub 500 OPS I think that Travis is the biggest story right now for the Jays. We need him.

So last year when Dyson went to talk to Edwin after the Game 5 homer, I thought the he was just telling Edwin not to incite the crowd (he was actually telling them to calm down)

Turns out Dyson told Edwin to tell Bautista "not to do that again", referring to the batflip

There will be fireworks tonight. Quite a shame Dickey is pitching.

Meh. I doubt it. That was last year. These things tend to fizzle out and not match the hype.

Last year I saw Lindor pimp a double against us more than Bautista did that homer. People always want to have their panties in a wad about something.

I hate baseball's "unwritten rules" so much. I said this earlier, but if I were Jose, and a Rangers pitcher beaned me in the ribs this series, I would just stare at him for a couple of seconds, flip my bat in the same way, and trot to first. That would be so awesome, and so much better than the standard mouthing off, and other ********.

Seriously, it needs to be accepted that emotionally flipping your bat after a huge moment is okay, and that throwing a 95mph projectile into a person is not okay. I don't understand how anyone could possibly dispute this.

Problem is guys are getting a little carried away with the bat flip. You don't need to bat slip when your team is already killing the other team.

I mean, for me I would be pissed that the guy hit a home run and my team was losing, how he flipped his bat would be mild in comparison. lol I get that it was on a big stage and all that, but the Rangers were leaping out of their dugout celebrating everything they did constantly in full view of everyone in the opposing team's stadium, but Jose flipping a bat was a crime apparently.

lol @ the Texas Rangers being upset about bat flip. Between Andrus, Moreland, Odor, and Dyson, maybe they shouldn't have let Bautista step to the plate that inning in the first place. They only had like six outs to work with. Play like a bunch of little league amateurs and then get sore when you get your faces stomped clean off and the stomper is all jacked up because he basically created an MLB Heritage Moment in the process.

Because people are the worst. It's incredibly annoying when these types of topics come up in a social circle of friends and people side on the "old school" mentality - but are then unable to support their opinions outside of the general "that's the way the game is played" nonsense. I'm introverted and generally don't like talking to people much...this is why.

It's pathetic,. anyone complaining or whining over it in such a big moment is an idiot.

Who is doing this?

You ever watch Puig or Cespedes play lol. They bat flip when they get singles haha

That's their issue, has nothing to do with Joey's bat flip in a huge moment.

Caught a bit of Jays Talk in the backyard yesterday.

One genius caller recommended we trade Tulo and a pitching prospect for Bryce Harper to shake things up. I spit out my coffee and had a good laugh.

lol, if I'm Wilner I do the mic drop.

I'm going to guess the caller said "Well we traded Lawrie and prospects for Donaldson, so why not?"

I completely agree. My point wasn't about JB's bat flip but the fact that certain people ruin it for everyone. There is no need for bat flips when your up or on doubles or singles but people are doing it. If I were the pitcher I would definetly drill them when they came back up.

I agree with emotional bat flips like Joeys though

Lol! That would certainly shake things up. Let's send a message by trading for Bryce Harper.

It's maddening, isn't it? "It's always been done that way" has never been, nor will it ever be, a good reason to do something.

It's a pretty useful adage when it comes to making pancakes tbh. You don't want to ruin your pancakes.

Maybe they'll take Storen back for him lol.
