I guess you haven't watched him at all this spring but he hasn't just been ok at 1st base, he has been good. He is a career infielder after all.

I'm pissed that I paid $100 for my ticket. The game turned into an AAA game after the 5th inning. Oh well, at least I got to see 5 full innings of good MLB

There was a ball hit off the bag that he had a lot of trouble with but that was understandable. The play where he missed the bag was unacceptable from a major league 1B

He made one good grab, and couldn't find the bag a couple times. I don't think any 1st baseman would be able to make a play on the ball that hit the base and went straight up in the air, he just didn't look graceful as he was trying to recover the ball.
