He's not sure about it though...

Given that it's one of the most infamous, expensive mistakes in Canadian history I presumed everyone knew all about it. Guess not.

Nah. Ironically she really dislikes shaved heads and says it's his playing not his looks that she likes. She was actually rather upset the first time she saw him pull his helmet off and saw that he was bald. Thinks he should grow his hair.

Also worth noting, it took me about 2 full months (with fairly regular game watching with her I might add) to convince her that Donaldson was a better player. Those were trying times I tell you... Sigh. :)

Lol. Tell her never to log in on here or you will be in numerous scraps defending her very quickly ;)

I'm pretty sure a year ago, no fangirl ever heard of Josh Donaldson (then again he was very underrated and a no name even with that good year) and they were crying about losing Lawrie. The tune changes quickly when they see monster dongers

Today and opening day lineup

Not sure if they've already been doing it but I'm glad to see Saunders hit in the middle third of the order instead of, like, 8th. Throw Edwin in place of Cola and that's pretty much the ideal lineup if Pillar has been crowned leadoff man.

Not sure if it's been mentioned either, but Edwin will be ready for Sunday (or says he will be): http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/report-encarnacion-ready-opening-day/

I have a real bad feeling about Portobello this year. He'll end up losing time to Smoak, and when he does get in, he'll probably bat 7th.

With AA and Beeston gone is this the last of the Montreal games? No offense to any Montreal people here but what an unnecessary travel day right before the start of the season.

Most teams play exhibition games the last couple days before the season. Just this year the season opener is on Sunday instead of the Monday so it kind of screws it up.

Happ was the only pitcher that went on the trip anyway.

What cut of revenue does Rogers get from 106K tickets sold? How much increased viewership and merchandising sales does Rogers get from exposure to the quebec market? The decision probably has more to do with dollars and cents than it does with inconveniencing the players on the team.

No chance it ends--as long as it brings in big money and attendance, they'll continue to do this until Montreal gets an MLB team again.

It makes perfect sense to it if we start the year at home. But yes traveling from Florida and back is incredibly stupid. Middle of Spring training fine. But we're litterally playing an afternoon game Sunday.

I still plan to watch it. 50k in the building is fun too see.

Man, seeing these guys kinda chokes me up. Some great memories for me watching the Expos. Truly sucks about Rick Monday, the strike and losing this team.

This is the second time in three years the Jays open in Tampa. Then going back a few years they did as well, the Dewan Brazelton game.

This has never made sense to me. You have bad weather in many cities at the start of the year, so you schedule two of the teams with domes to play each other?
