BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Goins stud I have more confidence in him than Pillar and Smoak combined His rise like a phoenix from the offensive ashes continues (at least in ST). I don't really care what he hits but if can get his OBP to be around what it was 2nd half last season Ill be more than happy. His BB rate took off.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Wow this team's defense is amazing. Its fun to watch. I'm so f***ing glad we got we rid of that over priced wifebeater (allegedly).

Governator Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 lol Goins green light 3-0 and just misses a HR off the wall in dead centre. Yeah, I don't think he gets that green light in a regular season game.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Whole team is great to watch. Almost would have to think the previous GM did an OK job. Who?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Yeah, I don't think he gets that green light in a regular season game. Hmmm. I actually think Gibbons would give Goins the green light. His logic it might get him going a little bit.

Getting on base for the top of the order is sort of a big deal tho because Pillar sure as f*** can't take a walk.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Yeah, I don't think he gets that green light in a regular season game. With a runner on third with less than two outs and Pillar as the lead off hitter, he just might.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Getting on base for the top of the order is sort of a big deal tho. It is but hes also hitting Kevin Pillar leadoff.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Hazel.. "When you're comfortable with your DP partner, just relax and have some fun".
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 cmon Hazel... She tries to make such a big deal about the dumbest things. Like Tulo and Goins texting each other in the offseason is going to make them better at turning double plays..
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I want Floyed as the 5th starter. He looks ready to go.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 lol Buck, "the veterans of the team, Donaldson, Tulowitzki, Donaldson...ummm"
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 lol Buck, "the veterans of the team, Donaldson, Tulowitzki, Donaldson...ummm" Spring training for Buck, as well.. except that he's in spring training form all season.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Floyd 5th starter. Easy decision. Gives up hard contact at times but he's a pro. It is easy...Sanchez will start the year as of now if the team takes the approach I think they will.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 It is easy...Sanchez will start the year as of now if the team takes the approach I think they will. Which is?.. Sanchez starts and moves to the pen after the ASB?

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I have never actually seen Venditte before. This is crazy, haha
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Which is?.. Sanchez starts and moves to the pen after the ASB? I see this as likely. As long as Sanchez keeps up what he has been doing this Spring they will use Floyd like Estrada.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Emphasis on "I think they will" Big emphasis on that, heck they could go with Hutch for all I know.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 That new rule is going be so controversial. I wonder how many times it will f*** us.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I have never actually seen Venditte before. This is crazy, haha I'd be ok with him being the last reliever because it would be like carrying 2.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I want Floyed as the 5th starter. He looks ready to go. I'm with you on that. He looks solid enough. Sanchez has pitched well in ST. I'm just thrilled we have a 4 way comp for the 5th spot of reasonable options and I've finally gotten over nitemares about Redmond.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 i can't wait to see the fanbase's reaction when they send sanchez to AAA.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 i can't wait to see the fanbase's reaction when they send sanchez to AAA. I can't see that happening in a win year. I still think we need him in the pen vs RHH.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I can't see that happening in a win year. I still think we need him in the pen vs RHH. We have chavez/osuna/storen for that.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 We have chavez/osuna/storen for that. Choking on the Hendriks deal with Chavez in the pen. But it's a long season and I guess mgm thought he gave us more SP depth. Steep price given the control we gave up with it.
