Feels like user input has no effect online at all. So many fouls on good timing in the zone, normal swing (and power swing). Then again I'm far better at pitching anyway.

 

I can second this. I'll get a fastball up in the zone that I was sitting on only to foul it back and the PCI shows the ball in the middle of the circle with good timing.

 

Yet I'll throw a slider down and away to a RHH that gets pulled to LF 420 feet.

Yep Online still blows. Literally the next game I played after that post had basically 150 MPH, that were fouled back even when I pressed X right away and had "good timing".

 

Its fun not being able to score a single run despite being walked 10 times in a game.

 

Bumgarner can also throw 175 pitches in a single game without giving up a extra base hit

Also low changeups are complete cheese. I thought I was just s*** but I tried throwing some myself and they're just not really possible, lol. Think guess pitch might be necessary online.

They should have pushed back the release date if they were going to have this many problems. They are still trying to get people there preorder items

I find if there is any lag in online its really hard to hit. Played DD and it was almost impossible to see the pitches.

Online baseball doesn't seem to work for whatever reason, unfortunately this game is only great offline, always been that way.

Are you implying that he is throwing harder this year? Because im pretty sure he was hitting 97/98 last year out of the pen. Seems like the game is just wrong

I'm implying that it's way off. He needs a 3mph bump in his 4SM and 2SM velos in the game.

Anyone start their franchise yet? I was testing the AI's trade interactions and was able to do Bautista, Cecil Edwin for Stanton. Which I thought was meh but okay..

 

Until they turned around and placed Jose and Edwin on Waivers..when I was then able to claim Edwin back.

 

Is the AI in general just retarded this year?

I just did Martin, Pillar, and Dickey for Syndergaard. Pillar and Martin put back on waivers and I got them back. Really dumb.

 

I'm sure they will patch this at some point. The game feels very arcadeish to me this year but I probably have to play with sliders.

The Show's AI is always retarded. Beyond retarded. I run a 30 team franchise, always.

No like I control all 30 teams. Most of it I have automated (lineups and s*** especially) but things like trades, waivers, etc I control.

That doesn't sound very fun. Lots of extra work as well.

Depends on your personality. There's some grunt work but it's also fun drawing up trades, and the game's AI doesn't make me want to cave my head in.

The 1-0 pitching duel between Ja Happ and |Edwin Jackson suggest not. Highly recommend everyone just give up on MLB online, its never going to happen.
