Why aren't the jays taking the cautious approach with regards to Estrada? The logical move here would be to DL him to start the season and let his back get healthy. Roll with Sanchez and Floyd in the rotation which allows them to carry a bullpen that consists of

Estrada to the DL is a f'n no brainer at this point. Saves the 5th starter controversy (temporarily at least), opens up a roster spot for another pitcher who might not otherwise make it (Biagini or Leon or Delabar), and most importantly gets Estrada healthy before he pitches meaningful games.

 

My guess is that's what will happen eventually.
