I don't know how beneficial this is to all you Canucks with the blackout policy but for someone living in the States this is pretty cool. I actually think 130 bucks for all games is a hell of a deal but I don't have any time to watch games other than Jays games. If it's significantly cheaper a single team package would be pretty neat.

This is a great idea for them, but I'm probably still going to pay for the whole thing. Great for my dad, though.

Hopefully Jays games aren't blacked out this year because they weren't in the past even though we were in the "market". Great feature though I think I'll keep the same subscription since I have the first 2 months free anyway

with a 40% shift in currency exchange and EU putting a 25% tax on all sports packages purchased from North America, it's become kind of pricey and I might just go with pirated streams.

in real money terms it's gone from $129 a year to $225. It's still not center ice stupid but it's getting to a point where I probably wont pay next year.

could always split it with someone?

I agree with Boxy. It's a great thing for tons of people. It's not for me as i like to watch more then just the Jays but this would be appealing for tons of people. Call me old fashioned but i still like to watch the games on the big screen and even when they play during the day when at work i can always PVR it.

K.........

I think he means someone from here could buy a package and they could split the cheaper sub. I think there's people here who do that with family and friends and there are 0 issues. But i don't really know how that works. *shrugs*

Hmm... I was thinking the other way around, from Sweden and share. Pretty expensive. I believe o2's already said it isn't possible from NA.

You just share a password and account.

IIRC...o2 said it's impossible to do that in Europe.

I doubt it. For example if i bought a sub and had to travel overseas and could not access it i would be pretty pissed. As CY said if you share the log in info it should be fine. I'm sure since he's a mod and active poster here someone would be fine with saving a few $ and sharing it with him.

But again....i had mlb.tv last year since i got it as a present but with the super sports pack never used it so i don't know?

Yeah, well we don't seem to know, I told him this, he said it wasn't possible. I too have the SSP since last couple years and love it, well, cause I'm a fanatic!!!

If Jays games were available to watch I'd straight up cancel my cable. Like I'd call Rogers right now.

But the nice thing about MLBtv is the Free Game of the Day feature for non-subscribers. It's a great way to learn more about teams I wouldn't normally watch if I had access to all 15 of that day's games.

Are people still having trouble getting Jays games on MLB.tv? I've had no issues for years now (I pay 5 bucks a month for netprotect)

I don't even use a proxy, and I've had exactly zero issues with getting Jays games (in Calgary) through MLB.tv for the last few seasons.

Well there's some good news for you as Blue Jays games haven't been blacked out in Canada for a few years now.

I'm still going to get mlb.tv next year but that exchange rate if going to suck.

I live in Mississauga and I had no issues at all with blackout restrictions. Even with playoff games.

Last year was my first year using MLBtv, an I absolutely loved it. I really hope there aren't any problems with it this year

I'll probably grab that too. $130 is a little more than I'd like to play though, considering I don't watch nearly as many games anymore.

I've been a subscriber for 10 years but I think I'm done too. I've got a solid pirate setup for all sports for $10 a month. It's reliable and high quality but only issue is not all in HD. When it is there's literally no difference. The sd feeds are better than cable/satellite sd so it's not that bad. Run it through a kodi add-on with an interactive guide. Latest update even has a pvr feature.
