Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I think it's a pretty good value signing at first glance, though he wasn't my first choice.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Stroman Estrada Dickey Happ Chavez
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Just as well seeing as the Sox are gonna spend 2 billion on Price.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Shits everywhere find you're own f***ing link. Its done.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 So the rotation looks complete. Stroman Happ Estrada Dickey Chavez I like how they were able to address it. Two short-term signings, no picks lost, and a reliever traded. Shapiro's influence.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Wow. Wasn't expecting this. Rote is kinda underwhelming but we also still have plenty of ammo left and the assets are liquid, so really just a strategical thing, it's not like we can't still go all in if we somehow got Carrasco and then we could move Dickey or something. I'll be thrilled if the rotation ends up as these guys plus several legitimate depth pieces, though.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 That's a pretty s***** rotation though. A #2 and four solid arms behind him. Thoroughly unsexy, but this definitely beats giving up big assets and money for pitching.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I think last year was pretty much the best he'll be...but he's okay. Not overwhelmed but I can see the depth being built up
abola2121 Verified Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 There better be a trade in the works. Otherwise, f*** this.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Everyone go look up how well Happ pitched for Pittsburgh before you judge anything. Pittsburgh fixes guys. He was incredible. Maybe he figured some stuff out.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Interesting sign, though I wasn't really expecting Happ to get that much money... I still think we need 1 more guy like Iwakuma/Lackey/Samardzija

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Looks like the Pirates may have cost themselves a pick. Hard to say though.
