Um...because he is a big part of this team and he is hanging with his teammates...which I think is all pretty cool. How that can be a negative for you is beyond me, unless you are just being a loser and trolling.

It's not new. He's been working with both of them since at least 2014 before either was with the Jays.

I think he's hoping he could use Goins and Pillar as references for his blog. If either of them catch fire this season, it's all thanks to him now.

Right now his blog is built around Donaldson.

While were on this topic of hitting coaches, I was always wondering that guy that gave EE private lessons who Cano reffered him to why is he not a MLB coach?

Luis Mercedes is a nobody, a corrupt guy who settled for the money he receives from Cano, Edwin Encarnacion, Cervelli and others who Cano recommends.

He must be pretty decent at teaching how to hit? He wouldn't come over for a couple million?

 

EDIT: Not a clue what a hitting coach makes but I know it's not millions.

 

Do you know if he gets paid out the ass by the players Ang?

I love the swing path, he certainly has some untapped power. Goins has been working with them as well.

 

I think he can be a good hitter. His issue when he has been up here has been his Plate Discipline. He tends to chase a lot of bad pitches and that seems to be his downfall. Hopefully he can straighten that up because he is a really easy guy to cheer for.

He's just need one more hit and a walk per week to become in a true 4 WAR guy.

According to Luis, he receives money when Cano is practicing with him. There is no specific amount each month, but told us that he receives between 12K to 17K for 1 or 2 months.

 

Edwin made a bet with him that if he hits over 30 HR in MLB Edwin would give him an SUV. Edwin breakout season that year lol

I'm firmly on the pillar bandwagon. I think he's going to have a breakout season offensively. I know I'm in the minority, but that's one of my bold predictions for the season.
