THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) Probably the leading ROY before he got hurt and you want to deal him..... He is young controllable and could be a Perfect leadoff hitter.... He is part of the future for the jays. I don't "want" to trade him, but I would be banking that the WAR provided by Carrasco would off-set what we'd lose with Travis/Pillar. Travis/Pillar project to provide 5.5 WAR next season while CC projects 5.1 WAR so it's pretty even. Maybe get Cleveland to throw in a low-level prospect and I'd do it. But you'd create a hole! LaCava says that isn't happening Goins could provide 1-2 WAR next season which, compared to Travis' projected 2.8, isn't a terrible loss. Edited November 10, 2015 by THANOS

They aren't going to trade established players from their Major league Roster.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 AA predicts no one accepts the QO and that players will sign earlier than usual. Interesting as you never hear him say anything lol.

King Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 AA was talking about how there is a lot that goes into free agency rather than just $. He said one year they were desperate to sign a closer, they really wanted one guy but he would only sign with teams that had a direct flight to and from his home town (to the teams city he was signing with). Going to guess this was Jason Grilli. AA also sounds like he's ready to sign with another team. Said he's going to take next week off to go on vacation with his family and then he'll be ready after that.

Substantially more.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I really hope LaCava plans to extend Osuna into the rotation, it seems pretty obvious that a lot of what he's saying is hot air.

What happens if he blows his arm out? He's done it once no reason he can't do it again. I think you should just take the 70 quality innings and take the injury risk down.

Osuna can do the same.

I'd say lets shut him down for 2016 and 2017 too just to be safe.

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 All im saying is you have to be careful with him, if he blows again his career would probably be over.

Can you imagine if the Sox had done the same s*** that you're proposing with Chris Sale?
