IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Great game for goins ... and good contributions from Pillar as well.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I can see what happened in game 2. These Kansas City Royals can really hit. No wonder they had the best record in the American League.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I think Dickey in the dome tomorrow following a lot of hard throwers today is a good formula. Yeah I was thinking the same! Hopefully good Dickey shows up tomorrow!!!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Right, Hendricks was fine because the three hard hits were ground balls. Great job tonight Liam! Please. One was an infield single, the other was a grounder that Smoak should have gotten, and the other was a hard hit single. At the end of the day, they were all on the ground and singles. That's s***** luck, not bad pitching. Gibby's been handling Hendriks like that all year. It's ridiculous.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 it's been quite the game for him. I can't see anything but a tie 2-2 after tomorrow. But Chris Young will probably give up 2 solo shots and 27 flyball outs the way I've been at predicting these things Yer dumn.
37stieb Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 lol I can't blame him. there was a couple of hot blondes in the background I was checking out. We should have those hotties up at batters eye level during KC's at bats. LoL!
IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Sooo...I didn't put up the car flag this morning (I take if off every night), and they win. Winless when I put it on, perfect when I don't (postseason record). Burn it please!!!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Who the f*** still reads a newspaper, Tabler!
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Dickey worries me against KC's approach. Hope the bats have another big game Gotta be confident in Dickey. He's done well the 2nd half, and was looking good in Texas. In the dome, I'm confident he can give them a good start. He actually seems to gas can a lot less than people think knuckleballers do.

That's s***** luck, not bad pitching. Gibby's been handling Hendriks like that all year. It's ridiculous. And you're still fine with keeping him in against Morales and Moustakas? Maybe Loup should've come in instead of Osuna? Neither of those seem like good options to me. Cecil isn't there. You can argue he should have used Hendricks earlier, but he would've been facing those exact same two guys if he came in for Stroman, he couldn't keep Stroman cause it was the middle of the order the fourth time, Loup couldn't get those guys out in game 2, so what can he do at that point?
IBTrini Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Why are people bitching about the relievers? Who was Gibby going to bring in in the 7th and 8th? Hawkins? He's been crap for the last while. Hendricks? Just look at this outing. Tepera? He brought in Hendricks in the 9th cause there was only 9 outs left as opposed to 3 and he still blew it, if that was in the 7th we'd potentially be f***ed right now. The bullpen outside of Sanchez, Lowe and Osuna is completely untrustworthy right now. I feel the same about the BP as well. Cecil going down created a huge hole there.

No wonder they had the best record in the American League. Apparently a lot of people in here do not recognize that they are not a weak team. They can put runs up quite quickly as well. Zobrist is another thorn in the Jays side.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 About time we saw an inning like this in the post-season. http://m.mlb.com/tor/video/topic/94786860/v524503083/alcs-gm3-blue-jays-hit-two-hr-score-six-runs-in-3rd/?c_id=tor
Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Bunch of wet blankets... Bats were on point tonight. Really the first time the offence looked like the RS offence. Not the ideal situation with regards to the BP, but no one was overused so everyone should be good for tomorrow. One game at a time at this point.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Big Win Jays....lots of runs.....Stro gritted it out. Big game for Go Go. Win is a win....even if its ugly. Play better tomorrow.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 KC is definitely a good team. Their hitters are good too regardless of Yost's lineup. Getting this win was huge, but they need to get the next 2 now. Need some margin for error if they take it back to KC.

admin Site Manager Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Stroman keeps winning, but I keep waiting to see dominant Stroman. Seems like he leaves something hanging almost every inning.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Sportsnet's post game is overkill. Tabler and Zaun already broke down the entire game and now we have Buck talking about the same s***.

Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Stro definitely didn't have it against a very good team but still didn't implode like a lot of pitchers do. Kid is great.

Really helps having a bunch of different pitches to go to when two or even more of them aren't working on a given night.
