People talk about Gibby's pen mgm. abilities. I'm not a Gibby hater but I think it's awful.

 

Oh I agree. I think it's generally terrible. I hate the slavish devotion to the 100 pitch limit and the rigidity of the bullpen roles.

Why are people bitching about the relievers? Who was Gibby going to bring in in the 7th and 8th? Hawkins? He's been crap for the last while. Hendricks? Just look at this outing. Tepera? He brought in Hendricks in the 9th cause there was only 9 outs left as opposed to 3 and he still blew it, if that was in the 7th we'd potentially be f***ed right now. The bullpen outside of Sanchez, Lowe and Osuna is completely untrustworthy right now.

Osuna hadn't pitched since game 5....bringing him in game 4 this series without having pitched in a pressure tight situation might not be ideal either....he got in....gave up a home run...but got some work in and we won....not the worst thing having him get in this series already

The problem in the first place is that he hasn't used Hendriks in an eternity when he should have.
