I guess we should be expecting a pretty s***** makeup call.

Nah, apparently the ump said no such thing according to Perez so either Volquez is lying or Perez is as so not to piss off umps. Either way, Royals look dumb in this. Not that it'll be a highlight story or anything.

Alex Rios: Estrada was the same as game 1, he was just lucky this time.

Lucky is when you give a bunch of screamers off the bat. Estrada had a ton of swings and misses lol. I don't think Kansas City made great contact. The hardest hit off the night was infront of Pillar and he caught it.

Nah, the ball that Morales hit at Goins in the 2nd inning was a rocket, exit velocity of a 105 mph. Plus I think Perez's oppo taco was pretty much crushed on a line.

Did anyone catch this story about Cecil last week???

http://www.torontosun.com/2015/10/15/blue-jays-reliever-brett-cecil-eyes-world-series-return

Brett Cecil’s season-ending calf injury might not be so season-ending after all.

The Blue Jays reliever said Thursday that should Toronto advance to the World Series, he believes he will be ready to return to active duty.

“Everything feels good,” Cecil said after throwing on Thursday, but not off a mound. He believes he can already throw well enough to pitch, but the question is: Can he move well enough?

“The biggest thing for me will be running,” he said. “I haven’t done it yet. I’m going to try and run in the next few days.”

Intensive therapy with the Jays’ training staff has taken Cecil from also-ran to possibility and he admits he’s shocked by the progress made with his torn calf muscle. “I’m surprised,” said Cecil. “I didn’t think it was possible.”

When he had his MRI earlier in the week, he said he was in “excruciating pain,” just trying to stay still. In the meantime, Jays lefty reliever Aaron Loup, who was supposed to fill in for Cecil, will return to the club for Game 1 of the ALCS after being away for two games due to personal concerns.

Cecil is happy to have Loup back and is excited about his own possibilities. When asked about not being able to pitch in the clinching Game 5 against Texas, where he certainly would have been called, he said: “Don’t think I wasn’t thinking about it.”

That would be amazing if we were to get there.

didn't texas gov tweet about 2 texas teams in the ALCS? lol

eggs hatched and broken baskets kind of thing. lol hope we tip the apple cart on it's side

Same, a lot of there posters don't like the thread, respectively.

There is no way in hell an ump would apologize for a missed call unless it was something like that ump who got the call wrong at 1st on that no hitter a few years back. Umpires have egos as big as Jose Bautista's. They won't apologize for anything.

Volquez is full of s***.

Guys - where's a good spot to eat downtown around Front Street that has:

Game on TV

Good food and drink

Can make a reservation

I think you're misrepresenting what Rios said. He said many times in the interview that Estrada was hitting the corners and getting his pitches and pitching very well. Yes, at one point he mentions them not taking advantage of opportunities, but bottom line he was complimentary of Estrada on the whole.

Blowing game 2 really hurts...should be up 3-2....Why does price ignore his curveball when he gets into trouble? It was effective and he abandoned it against the lefties. Maybe he should not shake off martin so much. he needs another look to keep hitters off his fastball, change.

If the Royals beat Price in Game 6, you tip the cap and say they had the better series and deserved to win. If they don't, then it's Game 7 and its anybody's series.

These elimination games are killing me. Number five is coming up. I hope like hell we can get to number six.

wouldn't bother me in the slightest if Navarro catches game 6.... Martin has not been effective with the stick and Navarro seems to be at the top of his game calling.

Yes, when they were with the Rays.

Oh yeah... Forgot that they were teammates. He probably has more experience with Price than Martin does.

Let's see what the 2 day layoff does for Martin's game. Keep him in. Dude's a stud.

^ this. He has frustrated us all some but a guy like has a track record and can turn it around quickly on 0 and D to make a big positive contribution.

He helped get us here, we know how good he can be, and we're paying him $$$

He will play tomorrow unless he's legitimately injured

Plus I really want to hear the French radio broadcast of it again if he does something big. Their call of his 3 run shot to ice the NYY division chances was the best. Haha.

Anyone know if the games are being broadcast in French in the first place? I'm seriously tempted to switch if that's an option. I don't love Rodger Brulotte but I'll take a Hawk Harrelson style flagrant homer (basically what he is) over the stream of diahrea coming from Harold Reynolds.

I wonder if we should flip flop Donaldson and Bats in the lineup. Bautista isn't hitting the greatest right now but he's drawn 7 walks already this series.

Probably too late to tinker with the lineup.. but it's a thought.
