thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 The problem is, it will be abused considerably. There is nothing stopping a player faking a personal issue just so that he team can sneak in roster changes. How about the fact that they want to play?

EMK19 Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Well, now that we have a game 6, what are all your opinions on what to do with Revere? He's struggling immensely at the plate right now (although he did draw that rally starting walk) and Tulo is definitely heating up again... it might be an interesting idea to give the Royals pitchers a different look in the lineup, and to lessen the pressure on Revere a little bit/give him more freedom to run. Then again Tulo is waking up at that 6th spot now and driving in runs so it may also be a bit of a risk to take him out of that comfort zone. Thoughts?

Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Ned Yost should be fired for that 6th inning if the jays win game 6

It worked before; it will probably give Tulowitzki an extra at bat, and moving Ben Revere down to the number 9 spot will take the pressure off him. With Tulowitzki in the number 1 spot the Blue Jays have a hitter who can drive runners in from the bottom of the lineup when they get on. But I am sure Gibbons won't do it.

Here I am thinking it was the Revere who started that big inning Yup, and I did mention that he drew that rally starting walk in the post as well. He doesn't draw those walks consistently though, and when he does get on it seems to sort of limit his base stealing ability with big bats coming up afterwards. But I guess with Martin struggling it also leaves a hole after Bats and EE at bats with only Cola behind them. Definitely has its costs as well vs. the benefits.

Leave him right there and he gets 5 hits in next 2 games.

Hope this will be a repeat of that, lol.

I heard AA on the fan 590 stating basically the MLB understands the issue at hand for Loup and it is possible to list him on the DL...But nothing came about it? Anyone else here that? I listen everyday and I swore I heard it

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Yeah, I'll give Aaron Loup the benefit of the doubt and say something pretty bad is happening and that it's absolutely none of our business. MLB should have contingencies for stuff like this. This, he received a phonecall in the pen last night after first pitch or during the first inning, it's obviously a delicate situation.
