Agreed this team has embarrassed itself on a international stage. Gibbons should be fired for killing the teams momentum late in the season with resting players and that stupid Buehrle start. Gibbons butchered this playoff run.

You should be the one embarrassed.

Nope, it's easy to see am right. Be a homer if you wish, I choose to see reality. This performance was embarassing and all of baseball is laughing at the Jays right now. The whining and blaming everything else, they need to look in the mirror, they folded like lawn chairs.

If the Jays want to win, they need to shut down DeShields and Odor.. they've accounted for nearly all the Rangers offense. Many of their bigger names, like Fielder, Beltre(injured), Andrus and Choo aren't exactly performing.

Two names--DeShields and Odor. Those two are the main reasons the Rangers are up 2-0 in the series. Otherwise, this team has been just lucky. We can turn this around if we can shut them down. And of course, the Rangers pen has been worked hard in the 1st 2 games.. they're going to need length from Perez tomorrow.

The approach vs Gallardo was terrible for the 3rd time this year. Yesterday they swung the bats well enough, but Martin should be embarrassed about that throw I'll give you that.

Jays have had 5-6 Flyballs that easily could have been Homer runs this series. I mean there has been 3 alone that were crushed and just foul, not to mention EE and Tulo have each had a couple warning track flyouts.

What a stupid f***ing thread, f*** off! You don't deserve to be a Blue Jays fan, idiot.

Truth hurts, get a grip its just an opinion. You are the idiot if a single opinion makes you go off like a freak.

This team came into the playoffs unprepared, unfocused. This team is playing below it's talent level and is mentally weak. All they have done is whine about the umpires, Donaldson's episode yesterday was cringe-worthy, I love JD but come on keep your composure. Look at texas, they came in focused, and never let the ump take them out of the game. They came to play and are staying within the game. Their manager is also making Gibbons look like a fool. Those hit and runs in game 1 gave them 2 runs. The Jays approach at the plate has been selfish, refusing to take walks, swinging out of the zone up 2-0, 3-1, and even 3-0 in counts, just stupid selfish baseball.

Instead of all the crying about replays, Umpires, how about look in the mirror for an offense that has gotten indisciplined and shrunk under playoff pressure, swinging at pitches way out of the zone over and over, throwing the ball around costing you 2 runs in the first inning. Pretty disappointed how this team has reacted to some adversity and playoff pressure, pretty embarassing really. Blame yourselves for what has been a massive choke job, that's what this is, this team is too talented to play their 2 worst games since the all-start break. Stop crying and act like you been there.

Other teams fanbases are laughing at the Jays and how they have acted, and I don't blame then, lack of professionalism on the team.

I think you make some credible points but the problem I have is that you are polarizing the argument - Yeah they haven't played their best ball, their issues with the ump will come across like whining, fielding errors in critical moments, etc. But with JD/Kela, we really don't know who said what. JB in his post-game seem to suggest that Kela said something first. I for one can't pin Gibby for what happened these 2 games and I am no Gibby fan. As for their approach, it's debatable. We got here because the big mashers swung for the fences...

BTW you should take a look at Martin's PG yesterday. Pro's pro all the way

Or, you know, there's a far more simple explanation to explain this team's struggles. An explanation that isn't rife with a bunch of cliches and narritives. One that is purely logical and to the point. One that isn't totally filled with Occam's razor.

The explanation?... How about, this lineup is just in a slump. No ******** small sample size fueled choking narratives, none of this postseason experience crap, just a simple explanation - our hitters, especially the heart of the order, are in a slump.

There's a reason why baseball playoffs are a crapshoot - baseball, at its heart, is a game of streaks, and there is not enough time in 5 or 7 gammes for those dtreaks to balance out to usual team/player norms. The good players and teams go through more frequent and longer good streaks than bad, and the bad teams and players go through less frequent and shorter good streaks than bad. That's basically what baseball is. Our hitters are just in a slump, and it's coming at the worst possible time. And when hitters slump, they tend to get frustrated and start swinging harder and have less discipline at the plate, like what our hitters are doing. Every single hitter in a slump tends to do this. Either way, this funk we're in has all the earmarks of a slump. Nothing more, nothing less.

That said, what nerves CAN explain, however, is some of our defensive miscues. Martin throwing the ball away is one. That was just a brain fart. But at the end of the day, our hitting slump is what has cost us the most this series.

Nope, playing good D and sound baseball it is 1-1 at worst....Not going totally out of your approach at the plate and losing composure also has hurt.

lol...all you do is whine. JD episode was cringe worthy, give me a break. The pitcher was yelling at him first and you take the opposing pitchers side. You give zero credit to texas. They've played well. The team doesn't owe you wins, they owe you effort and the effort is there. The team hit Cole Hamels hard yesterday. Cole freaking hamels. He's got more playoff experience than anyone in the series.

our top players are currently on the cover of sports illustrated with our manager front and center smiling like a clown. but, the thing is we haven't won anything. this team is getting exactly what it deserves to play with this level of entitlement and arrogance.

Just poorly timed Spanky!

Like admitting defeat, loser thread!

If someone other then a mod or member of the hive started that the Troll and mod cries would be louder!

Pitchforks would be out!

BTS's thread is a Topic that could and should've waited till the off season!

pompey not stealing by far and away. that decision just might have cost us the entire series. at that point who cares if he gets thrown out at least you took a risk. it's obvious gibbons had the mentality that every batter was one swing away from hitting a hr anyway, but that approach obviously didn't work.

You realize that Pompey was PR in that inning to take a couple bags, in which he did. Pompey has the green light man. Gibbons can't tell the kid when to break on a pitch? Jesus Christ.
