Frasso probably ends the season in AA? Any chance for September call-up? Dude looks unstoppable.

What does everyone have for top 5 prospects now?

1. Moreno

2. Tiedemann

3. Martinez

4. Frasso

5. Groshans

Too aggressive?

Frasso absolutely s***ing on the A+ batters in his debut. 3IP, 0H, 0BB, 8K!!! So far.

Final line:

4IP, 0H, 1BB, 10K, 60 pitches.

What a beast! He'll definitely be in AA at before year's end. Same thing with Tiedemann.

Just based on this season mainly for the bottom 3. Not many hitters have shined enough to stay or say they are top 5 right now

Yeah, I wanted to put Zulu at 5 as well, but wanted to wait until he can show that he can remain healthy for the season. Not that Groshans is a model of health himself.

Most of the Jays potential high impact bats have graduated to the majors or traded away. Jays are now a bit thin in that area down on the farm. Hopefully with the upcoming amateur draft, they can restock on hitters.

lol Frasso's season numbers now.....

29.2 IP, 15.78 K/9, 2.73 BB/9, 0.61 ERA, 1.83 xFIP

Sweet

I've been looking at his and Tiedemanns stats this year and just staring at them lmao

Some Tiedemann stats for reference so more people can join the circle jerk:

63 IP, 40% K rate, 8.75% BB rate, 1.71 ERA. Insane and at 19 yo

This is easily the most excited about a Jays pitching prospect since Noah Syndergaard. This time around we shouldn't have to worry about him being traded away for a 40 year old knuckleball pitcher.

s*** he's by far the most exciting since I started following the team for me. Thor never developed a 2nd and 3rd pitch till he got the Mets and Pearson is Pearson. Tiedemann already has the 2nd and 3rd plus pitches.

Not sure I'd have Frasso in the top 5 just yet. Tiedemann is doing it as a 19 year old which is crazy. I think I want a slightly bigger sample from a 23 year old. There is a pretty big drop after the first 3 though, and pending how one feels about Groshans it's not completely unreasonable.

Spencer Horwitz promoted to AAA after posting a 156 wrc+ in AA. He could be in play for a spot on the big league team in the second half if he keeps raking.

Not to rain on the parade, but he's a 1b/DH (some time in LF I guess but not a lot to speak of). So unless there's injuries to ... everyone, there's not many places to play him at present with the # of DH days being rotated with Vlad, Springer, the catchers... etc.

If his bat is good enough they will find the at bats for him. And I'm pretty sure this rotating dh thing is just to make sure guys are healthy for the stretch run when they go all out and put out the best lineup possible every day. Need a lefty bat in the middle of the order...

I hope you are right. Also consider that LH hitters in New Hampsire benefit form one of the shortest porches in baseball to hit over and off of. It's only 306 to the corner and 353 to right center. It's a lefty haven for hitting.

Carlos Vasquez, 17 year old catcher in the DSL has had a pretty good start to the season with a .485 on base and decent slug. He played second base today.

Also, just noticed that Gabriel Martinez is on rehab in the FCL.

Made a small change to your original post. I think Horwitz is most likely dangled as trade bait to bring in some much needed pitching help.

Him and samad Taylor maybe.

100% I think he could fetch some good relief help by him self.

I see him as a sell high guy that they'll use to bolster the pen or as a package to bring in another starter.

Just wondering who could be the next Soto/Tatis/Acuna/Guerrero/J-Rod in the minors who hasn't debuted yet. I'm thinking Corbin Corrall is the closest, but I don't think he's on quite that level as a prospect. Is there anyone else who could be that next superstar?

Yup could definitely see that happen. But I think the org is high on him as well considering they sent him to the AFL last year where he also raked. Could see them wanting to get a look at him in the big leagues before deciding what to do with him.

Carroll could be that good. His tool set compares with some of those players.

Marco Luciano

Jordan Walker

Marcelo Meyer

Gunnar Henderson

Noelvi Marte

Pete Crow Armstrong

Those are six other names to watch, who could debut in the next couple years. Bottom 2-4 might not have the tools to be comparable to the names you listed though.

Yeah, those are players that I've been keeping an eye on. What's your thought on Emmanuel Rodriguez? I've seen projections that believes he has the highest upside in the minors right now. But I don't know what that's based on and he's not super high on the lists I've seen so far.

I don't know anything about him but that far down the projections systems... I would just use them as a flag really. I would not place a ton of value on how good they think he is, but that's interesting nonetheless.

PCA? c'mon man.

Francisco Álvarez belongs on that list. Jordan Lawlar may also, but he's further away.

The guy we should have drafted, Zac Veen. 6'4 lefty with a 33/1 SB/CS ratio.

Unfortunately it's really looking that way. We all though Martin was a gift from heaven when he fell to #5 - but it certainly doesn't look that way now.

If you wanted to go a little farther away, there is a guy in the brewers system, Jackson Chourio, who is chewing up low A at 18 and is a legit CF.

Yeah good one, he has big buzz

Don't be sleeping on the 6'7" Elly De La Cruz.

20 yrs old, 15 HR and 25 SB in 262 HiA ABs. Will probably be elevated to AA within a month.
