Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Weird, maybe, he's not on the IL. Yeah it is weird. He was pitching pretty regular up until the 19th. Hopefully nothing serious.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Well, well, well....Mr Pardinho was moved to Dunedin and pitched today. 2 IP, 0 hits, 0 walks, 0 runs, 3 K's, 20 pitches, 13 strikes Stay healthy there young fella

Ehjays Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Came across this little tidbit report on CBS Sports Ricky Tiedemann, SP, Toronto Blue Jays 2022 minors: 5-1, 1.40 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 58 IP, 19 BB, 90 K I've been meaning to write about Tiedemann since about the second week of the season, when it first became clear he was poised to be one of the top left-handed pitching prospects in baseball. His production has only improved with a move up to High-A, where he has a 0.96 ERA, though I'm sorry to report he just had his worst start, allowing (gulp) a season-high four hits. Between the two stops, he has a 67 percent strike rate and a 19 percent swinging-strike rate. Improved velocity has made his already excellent changeup all the more devastating. Even as a 19-year-old, he looks near untouchable.
RustyTrombone Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Future No.1 pitching prospect in the game.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Ricky Tiedemann is a future Ace! Future No.1 pitching prospect in the game. This would be wonderful.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Well, now it’s official. Short the stock
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Oh s***, well which way will Tiedemann go from here? The way of Nate Pearson, or the way of Alek Manoah? He's way younger than those two were when they became highly touted pitching prospects.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2022 Author Posted June 30, 2022 I want to crush up Tiedemann's stat sheet and snort it all day long.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 I want to crush up Tiedemann's stat sheet and snort it all day long. No kidding. And Frasso has even better K rate, BB rate, ERA, FIP and xFIP Although he's 4 years older, but still pretty impressive stuff.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Chris Sale vs New Hampshire tonight at 6 PM. Potentially Zulueta starting for NH. Orelvis hopefully gets a few ABs vs Sale

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Hadn't realized Zulueta had been promoted, cool. Frasso was also promoted to Vancouver (in case you missed it) It's so nice to have a bunch of really good to elite level pitching prospects to follow instead of just one or two that you hope their arms don't fall off.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 Uh oh. Zulu didn't have a good AA debut and came out after only 46 pitches and 1.2 innings pitched. Hopefully not hurt, just getting him out of there because his debut wasn't going great. 1.2 IP, 2 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, 1 K, 46 pitches, 23 strikes

I don't think it's the type of thing I'd keep him in AAA to learn to be honest. These MLB teammates can teach him a lot more about accessing his pop.

Jansen is trade bait for sure, regardless of what Atkins says publicly. Actually, I could see all 3 being available in the right trade since trading any one of them still leaves 6+ years of catching stability.

Failing a trade, I think I could see them keeping all 3 up and having Kirk become the near full time DH while catching just once a week or something. If he's our new cleanup hitter it would seem like a good idea to keep his bat in the lineup as much as possible. Jansen and Moreno can split time with Jansen getting some pinch hit opportunities and Moreno getting some pinch running. The third option is to option Moreno.

I’m not concerned. Moreno is currently sitting in the 43% range for average exit velocity, and 56% for max exit velocity. So he's not totally swinging a limp noodle.
