Zulu getting touched up a bit, 43 pitches through only two innings so far, just 25 strikes.

2 hits, 1 walk, 1 hit batter, 2 earned runs and gave up a dinger. 3 Ks though

Seems to be wild tonight

Adrian Hernandez picked up his 7th AAA save pitching 1.2 innings.

Came in the 8th inning inheriting runners and got out of it, gave up a homer in the 9th, but struck out 3 batters

Yeah I'm watching the milb pitch tracker right now, and I don't know how the earlier ABs were but this one I'm watching now he painted the inside and outside corners but both were called balls by the ump. Maybe getting squeezed a bit?

Anyways was down 2-0 to that batter but came back and struck him out for his 4th K

Next batter the 2nd pitch was a perfect low strike 2-3 inches inside the zone, called a ball. 4th pitch top outside corner, painted...ball. 5th pitch painted the bottom of the zone, again a ball.

Umps a **** apparently

EDIT: He's definitely wild, but anything close he's not getting the call either. Tough outing, he walked the bases loaded and then gave up a double.

Getting caved in now.

I’m down the third base line so I can’t tell, but he seems pretty wild to me. Catcher moving a ton. One passed ball was defiantly on the catcher tho.

He’s not really getting any swings on his breaking stuff.

The milb pitch tracker is usually not accurate unless it's AAA just a heads up

Now up to 4 BBs and 1 HBP, plus 4 Hs. I think games like this are expected for being away so long. Will need to keep working to get a feel for his pitches again

I imagine he's done now after 3 IP, 4 hits, 5 earned, 4 walks, 4 K's, 80 pitches with only 40 strikes. 1 hit batter, 2 wild pitches

BUT...in the inning I watched there was 10 pitches call balls that caught the zone according to the pitch tracker on milb (don't know how accurate that is)

Thoughts from the game tonight. I didn’t watch every pitch because it was dog night at the stadium and there were lots of cute dogs. There was also some kind of weird high school reunion in front of us full of weird people that my wife and I were keeping an eye on.

I was down the third base line so I couldn’t tell strikes and balls. Zulueta looked wild to me. I only saw one breaking ball thrown for a strike. The catcher moved a ton. He didn’t do that so much with the other pitchers. 2 wild pitches/passed ball, one HBP (I think) and some walks. He got hit hard once for a homer as well. The reason I thought he was wild because you could just tell from the hitters that it wasn’t close at times. They were reacting more to lower velocity later in the game.

Wasn’t his best night. He sat 95/96 and reached 98/99. His breaking balls aren’t as hard as I expected. Low 80s topping at 84. I expected a harder slider or something.

He has a super easy delivery. It seemed so easy for him to pump mid to high 90s. Starters body for sure.

Hunter Bishop smashed a home run for Eugene later in the game.

I wonder if Adrian pinto is injured. He was listed at CF the other day and then didnÂ’t play. HasnÂ’t played since.

Tiedemann struggled today, and by that I mean it took him 79 pitches to get through just 4 innings this time, he only got 7 strikeouts, and 6 guys got on base.

Of course he didn't give up any runs, don't be silly. He never struggles that badly.

Lmao i got scared for a sec after you said he struggled. Checked the box score, 4 IP, 3H, 2BB, 7K. Higher whip than 1, ya thats a struggle for him.

30 innings at A ball

19 innings at A+

Numbers are arguably better at A+

I wonder how many more innings there before Tiedemann gets another bump up to AA?

Maybe after this year's draft picks start signing?

According to Baseball America, the DSL Blue Jays have 52 hits and 55 walks so far this year.

The players must believe you CAN walk off the island.

That entire league has some major control problems.

Wow, Pardinho still alive and kicking is he?

Yep. I still have hope that he becomes something. Just depends on what his arm returns to and how much of his command is still there

Hopefully. Deck is sure stacked against him though. Small guy with low velocity, who's battled injuries for like 4 years now.

Canadian kid J.C Masson drafted in 2019 in the 26th round. Got 6th -7th round money to sign. So there is a little pedigree there. By far the youngest of the Jays draft class. Still only 19. Did really well in the FCL last year with a .880 ops. Off to a crazy start this year, 9 for 15 with 7 walks to 3ks with 2 triples and 1 double. Could be something...

Frasso shoved again today. 4 IP, 5ks, 1BB, 3H. Sinker topped out at 98. CU generated a lot of swing and miss. Cant be long before he moves up to Vancouver.

51 pitches, 38 strikes

Love that. Throws a ton of strikes.

Not trying to rain on the parade but, keep in mind he’s probably getting a lot of these strikes on swings and misses well out of the zone due to minor league hitters being s*****.

I'm honestly starting to wonder if the front office lied about his 3 month recovery from mono. I think there's something much more serious going on with his arm that they don't want people to know.

Its a possibility. The front office has a track record of lying about/downplaying injuries, and phantom DL stints.

The length of time between his appearances supports this. Possibly one of those situations where it was a choice of surgery or rest and rehab, and the rest and rehab didn't work out.

I see Pearson had an appearance where he only threw 3 pitches before exiting. Anybody know if he suffered yet another injury?

I was listening on the radio when the announcers were talking about it and they said “he threw a pitch, then as the pitch was caught he immediately put his glove over his face, screamed into the glove and called for the trainer”

The way it sounded was he screamed into the glove like he knew it was yet another long term injury.

There’s no basis for this opinion, even if he was ever wanted in a trade, they’d need to either provide his recent physical results or the team acquiring him would get their own done before doing the deal, and they’d find out whatever his problems were.

Pretending an injury doesn’t exists provides no advantage to the Jays whatsoever.
