Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2019 Author Posted August 17, 2019 Clearly the stuff is there he just needs to work on his command. Sounds like you're talking about Sanchez... Or SRF.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Sounds like you're talking about Sanchez... Or SRF. Better control than Foley I think, and better swing and miss than Sanchez. 95% percentile outcome of James Paxton maybe?
flafson Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 I’m glad we have a lefty with some velocity but from those angles it looks like the hitters just swing at garbage all the time. But then again, I can’t evaluate talent.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 Griffin Conine with his 20th HR of the season. Lansing up 19-1 Was hoping to see him reach Dunedin before the season ended. Still a chance but becoming less and less likely. A little bit surprised they weren’t a little more aggressive with a promotion. I’m sure the suspension played a role in that.

Historically a very tough league for offense, plus he strikes out like a motherf***er already. Not a great recipe.
Todd Verified Member Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) Look at that Anthony alford is injured again. What a surprise. Edited August 18, 2019 by Todd
MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Andy Burns should be the next infielder promoted. Change my mind. Good OBP, power and low strikeout rate will play well in the bigs. He's old but since he's come back he's a different player.

He's not in the 40 man roster and they're not going to add him.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Clearly the stuff is there he just needs to work on his command. the second one was perfectly placed high heat, but otherwise I don't really see it. First was a pitch at the dude's head that he swings at for some reason, then a change up middle middle that should have ended up in a parking lot, then that slider that had very little bite and got swung at anyway. Was more a display of hitting incompetence imo. I feel like you could take literally any pitcher in baseball and create these little twitter snippets, gush about how awesome the pitches are.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Big Nate promoted to AAA It’s nice to see the front office put him on a track to be in the big leagues early next season.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Nice glad to see. Should be able to get 3 starts in before the season ends, will be interesting to see how he acclimates to the new ball.

What would the plan be for 2020? Let him start until he hits like 130 or something then move him out of the rotation?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2019 Posted August 18, 2019 Wall was also promoted to AAA. Didn't realize the Bisons are in a playoff race.

Let him start until he hits like 130 or something then move him out of the rotation? Looking at the schedule, it seems like he could make 3 starts at AAA before the end of the regular season. So he's likely finishing right around 100 IP. There seems to be a pretty good chance of the Bisons making the playoffs he has the potential to pick up an additional 20+ innings. After 100-125 IP in 2019 one would have to assume they wouldn't quite be ramping him up to a full 170+ inning load in 2020.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Share please? Damn he should have signed with a real franchise. Dude is going to get no coverage and he'll probably end up signing a puny ass extension with 5 team options where he'll be traded half way into it. Aka the Tampa Bay way. Find a way out of Tampa, Wander. Asap.
