Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 Is Chris Davis the worst player at MLB level right now? Gift says hi
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Gift says hi 23 millions by year
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 23 millions by year That's not what you asked. If you incorporate the value aspect then Davis is pretty bad.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 23 millions by year Pujols says hi
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Pujols says hi Pujols has been better than Davis, just saying.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Pujols has been better than Davis, just saying. Fair - he did say right now. To be honest - I'd love nothing more to see Pujols have a bounce back year and get back to being an above average hitter (despite the fact it hurts the Jays playoff chances) . It's so sad watching the ghost of Pujols play. Maybe he's over all the foot issues...
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Austin Riley rocking a 191 wrc+ as a 21 yr old in AA ball. That excludes his 3 for 4 day today with 2 triples. Me likey.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I drafted Teoscar BBDL 9999 years ago. I'm good
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Gurriel just hit his first homer of the year. Playing well so far.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Alford activated from the DL and optioned to Buffalo.

spats Verified Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 How did he do? I was only there for 2 at bats....grounder to the shortstop and a line drive single. He looks in great shape tho...wish him well. Off to the Dunedin game now.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Is Chris Davis the worst player at MLB level right now? The correct answer is Logan Morrison, rocking a -0.7 WAR in April.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 You guys, Vladdy is hitting .362 with a .234 ISO and sub-9% K rate as a teenager in AA. WTF.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 You guys, Vladdy is hitting .362 with a .234 ISO and sub-9% K rate as a teenager in AA. WTF. When was the last time a bat looked this special in the high minors? I literally don’t remember anyone checking so many boxes from a pure offensive point of view. There’s very real chance we have the next Pujols on our hands.

Mike Trout was striking out twice as much in AA at the same age. There's a pretty real chance that Vlad will be the best hitter in baseball some day, when guys like Trout, Altuve, Harper, Betts, etc are fading in their 30s.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Vlad is the LeBron James of baseball We need to get talent around him
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 So you're saying Vlad is actually 25? Thankfully he was born in Canada and has proper documentation.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Not sure how many people are aware of this feature on BP. I've added the link below - shows a list of all the relevant pitching matchups in the minor leagues with the ranks of the pitchers in top 101 and top 10s (if applicable) as well as the amount of 101s and 10s on each team. Pretty neat! https://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/fantasy/extras/today/schedule.php
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 So you're saying Vlad is actually 25? He could be 35 as long as he provides us with 80 WAR over the next 15 seasons.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 He could be 35 as long as he provides us with 80 WAR over the next 15 seasons. Only shooting for 80? Trouts provided the Angels with close to 60 in 7 seasons. Vladdy is looking pretty special right now.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Tatis Jr. is now over 100 ABs in AA and he's been terrible. By no means am I trying to slam him as a prospect but when compared to our own Top 10 teenage wunderkind it shows just how good Vlad is.
AledmysDiaz Verified Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Pujols was worth 53.4 WAR his first 7 seasons in the Majors. I think people need to taper their expectations of Vlad.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Is Richard Urena hurt? Must be - what did I miss?

It's looking like they rushed him, shouldn't have skipped him over A+.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Temper? No, no. Taper them. I'm going to start with an expectation of 4 and taper that up to 10 by midseason.
