BTS Community Moderator Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Apparently BP's top 101 was in their annual that just came out. Has anyone found it posted online?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 60/70 hit, 55 raw power, 70 arm, can absolutely catch. His ceiling is essentially Posey/Lucroy/Yadi/Young Mauer, in other words, he could be the best C in professional baseball if he maxes out his development. And Cleveland was going to trade him for a year and a half of Lucroy?
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 And Cleveland was going to trade him for a year and a half of Lucroy? flags fly forever! we traded Syndergaard for Dickey man

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Can't see how Alford's hit tool is a full grade higher than Tellez. He struck out in almost 30% of his PA while Tellez has been under 20% for his entire minor league career.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I have many bad photos of the BP list. I can either type it up or I can forward it on Facebook to someone. I can't post save the photos as I'm at work.

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I can make them out. Really weird list.

King Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 83 SRF SRF checks unfortunately checks a high number of boxes on the risk profile for future relief pitching. Durability and health questions? Check. Inconsistent Mechanics? Check. Underdeveloped change? Check. Occasional Command issues? Check. On the plus side, he also checks off could have a wipe fastball/slider combo, which means he could be a really good reliever. He does have a starters body and progressed enough in 2016 that relief pitching is more of a possible outcome than destiny. holy s*** stop the mans already dead
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 BA shows that they are still the standard to which all other prospect lists aspire. Very well done in my opinion.

One question though Are those projected future values, or is that present
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Vladimir Guerrero or Brendan Rodgers?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I like it. One question though Are those projected future values, or is that present It's projected. If it was present they'd all be on the big league team and they'd be some of our best players.

Laika Community Moderator Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Yeah good point. I had a feeling they were projected values Yeah if it was present day, Vlad's hit would be maybe a 35, his fielding would be maybe a 30, Alford's hit would be a 40 or worse, etc.
