Think he cracks top 100 next year?

On another note, holy cow Bradley Jones ended his season nicely in Bluefield as well. He's 21, but in his last ten games he hit .488 with five home runs. 16HR 182B in 237ABs

Hard to say, but I'd guess no for most lists. The last guy I remember hitting like that at 17 was Xander Bogaerts and he didn't get much recognition until after his age 18 season.

Urias and Sano I believe. Sano actually appeared before his GCL debut

Big development

Max Pentecost is catching today for Dunedin

Great news. I was hoping to see him in the Arizona Fall League but he isn't on the roster. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with Conner Greene and Alford.

I thought he wouldnt catch this season so I was happily surprised

Also hit his 3rd homerun in Dunedin, giving him a total of 10 homeruns. The power is coming

.... but Trea Turner is killing the league as an 2B-CF

but the K's have gone way up too.

Well it turns out it was a mistake on the boxscore and Pentecost was actually the DH

Yeah I messaged Gil Kim and asked about it. He said there would be no winter catching either. He will resume behind the plate at Spring Training next year. Then said "who is this?" Getting the Jays F.O. personal phone number list has been fun.

I have been thinking, should the Jays follow the Tigers and Yankees lead and be thinking to at least field a second team in the GCL? I kind of what whats the benefit of having 35 players on one team, seems rather big to me.

To add to that does MLB really need three levels of short season ball. In my mind no one worth a lick should be playing more than two seasons in a short season environment.

Yeah I found out about the Pentecost confusion. Looks like it was too good to be true.

Oh well atleast he will start catching in Spring training.

Also Dunedin made the playoffs.

And his chat, here:

Scott: How close was Jose DeLeon to making the list? Are there injury concerns based on the past few months or is the upside not as high as the others on the list?

Klaw: Just don’t see the upside. Great makeup, good feel to pitch, but there’s a lack of a swing-and-miss weapon there.

How do you post these K Rates in the minors without a "swing and miss weapon"? God damnit Keith

http://i.imgur.com/F5qwsxr.png

And his Swinging Strike % in AA this year was 14.6%, in AAA its 14.1%.

Brad Mills could strike out a batter an inning in the minors too. And on the other hand Sanchez could not.

Stuff and results don't always mesh in the minors

I was speaking in general terms. There are guys with generally s*** stuff that could strike batters out...and there are guys with great stuff (Sanchez) that have trouble getting the K. As for JDL. Not as familiar with him...I focus more on Jays prospects so I don't know if Law is full of s*** or not (I'm assuming he is)...just that you can't always look at K numbers to determine stuff.

Jose "Lacks the swing and miss stuff" De Leon

19.7 SwStr% first MLB start

9K to 0BB

Rowdy Tellez could play Dominican winter league with my team Estrellas Orientales. Sano and Lake teammate

Very cool.

Nice season for Rowdy Tellez, his age 21 double a season is comparable to Delgado's in the power and average department.

a) Delgado drew a lot more walks

B) Delgado showed a lot more at lower levels

It looks like SRF is likely out for the rest of the season. Would have been nice if he pitched in some playoff games for Dunedin but oh well.

Still a very good season where he took some significant steps.

Do you guys think he gets an invite to spring training?

Yes. I'm very pleased with the season that Tellez had. Guarded optimism. Would be nicer if he had more to bring to the table that just a bat...but that bat sure does look like it could be something promising.
