Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 how do you guys like that song..its awful Yeah, but the nostalgia got me. They did one in 92 (or 93?) that was like 5 minutes long IIRC.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Bringing back the song from the Coca-Cola Blue Jays song from the nineties is one of those ideas that seems painfully obvious until it actually happens at which point you realize that once you remove the nostalgia factor, there's nothing to actually like about it. Sooooo cringeworthy. The lyrics are painfully generic and the singer's voice is grating.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 If we lose a game with Loup on the mound this city will implode. This city is used to the Leafs. It will tolerate much worse than Loup.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Just read the comments on it, when I heard it I thought it was a joke. Literally the most cheesy song I have ever heard in my life Felt the same way. I couldn't even finish it. Haven't had douche chills like that in a while. Can't believe people actually like it.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Jays in 4, inshallah That's what I think too, it would be awesome if they could win both at home and then head off to Arlington.

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I haven't had a chance to read through the last handful of pages but this is from BPs breakdown of the series: First they have Pennington as the starter over Goins at 2B. And then this beauty of a paragraph... Barring an injury or blowout, Navarro is not going to see action behind the plate. He's unlikely to see action at the plate either, presuming the Jays decide to carry him as their only backup. On a related note, Pompey could be subbed off the roster for someone like Munenori Kawasaki or Josh Thole. If he remains, he'll offer plus speed off the bench. Carrera is even more of a burner than Pompey, and John Gibbons used him frequently as a pinch-runner throughout the season. He also could provide value as the designated bunter, since he led the Blue Jays in bunt hits and finished second in sacrifices. This cant be serious? Can it? Did one of the callers to "Jays Talk" write this?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 When did gibbons frequently use Carrera as a pinch runner lol..let alone being faster than Pompey. The specialized sax hunter though is a very interesting concept..might just be crazy enough to.bring home the series this year

BTS Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 The 3:30 start time is so f***ing annoying. I'm going to miss 2 hours of the game.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The 3:30 start time is so f***ing annoying. I'm going to miss 2 hours of the game. Yup, it hurts! I can't get the day off either, so I've set up a tv outside of my office. No work shall get done, DGAF!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I'm leaving work at 1:30-2:00. There's a non-zero chance that someone will try to guilt me into staying, and I will decisively refuse. Will definitely miss Friday's game though. What a pile of s*** these start times are. Always have been. MLB playoffs are f***ing trash. (The Wild Card game is the fly circling the trash)

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Unless the game goes a bit late my girlfriend is going to miss the whole damn game. Game 2, too. Game 3 is on a Thanksgiving dinner night. It's entirely possible she'll miss all three games, only one of which because of a reasonably conflicting schedule. I genuinely feel bad for her. If the team gets eliminated it'll be even worse.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I'd fire you. I'd file a wrongful dismissal claim against you and have my job back before the end of game 1.

Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Watched a few videos of key hits late this season where the Dome crowd went bonkers (JD homer, Navarro and Martin HR vs. Skankees). Pumped up now! Might not be able to sleep. I'll imagine I'm watching on the big screen as I stream this at work. Waited too long for this, boys. VAMOS!

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I just started it Aww s***, well that's a bit different then. Sucks that the Jays got the s*** time slots. It was to be expected though.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 f***. Check mate. After Krylian locks you out you can come over to my place and watch the game. That's a self-portrait in your avatar though, right?
