Mac Outlaw Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Steroid user Gregg Zaun. Zaun, STFU, I don't care what you think. Ain't it time for your next injection?
ProfessionalAtBat Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Zaun because he thinks he's too cool for school
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Barry Davis kills me, his post game interviews are nauseating. The other day he asked Pillar "What do stolen bases mean to you?".
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Man surprised by all the Barry Davis hate. I thought Zaun or Wilner would lead this poll. I'm not saying I like Barry Davis but tbh his presence barely registers for me. I don't think I even knew his name until recently. He was just the fairly anonymous guy who does interviews.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 They're all atrocious. They are? All of them?

Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I voted for Davis as he's just a tool - in the Fergie Oliver type way but Zaun is trying too hard. Maybe he's sincere, but saying Harper was in the wrong because he's young - really? He's a four year veteran in the middle of the best season since Barry Bonds and he's supposed to run a lazy fly ball out cause he's young. f***ing moron. I do think some of the insights he has between innings especially pitch selections when guys can't catch up to a fastball etc. but his opinions are way the f*** out there I actually like Wilner - he's correct most of the time. people need to chill after a loss - plus its not always gibbons fault

The past 2 months has made his job much easier and he can't really go wrong spewing whatever cock-sucking stats he throws out there to make the Jays look good because they actually are good for once.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Kevin Barker and Hazel Mae. Barry Davis.
Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 yes kevin barker is worse than any mentioned his voice is so not media friendly but it matches the stupidity coming out of his mouth. I honestly don't think hes ever made a valid, interesting comment
Cookie Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I can't listen to Barker. It hurts my ears. And I have second hand embarrassment for Barry Davis. Every time he opens his mouth, it's embarrassing. I cringe the whole time. I think Hazel Mae is the most polished speaker of the lot. She could work outside of baseball tomorrow. None of these other dudes would have a job if anything happened.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Who does everyone have as the best? Stephen Brunt Shi Davidi Ben Nicholson-Smith Arden Zwelling For me its Stephen Brunt on the TV side while Arden Zwelling might have the most interesting articles of anyone.
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I know this is from a different era but the one guy that made a huge impression on me as a kid watching Jays game was Tony Kubek. This was back in the late 80's. Talk about a Canadian bias - There was no MLB TV, no ESPN coverage. But Kubek just had a way of calling the game that made it felt like you were watching it with your dad or older brother who knew a lot more about baseball than you did. For me personally, Kubek sets the bar. In those days, I also enjoyed Gammons only for the fact that he gave love to the Jays when everyone else outside of TO didn't know who they were. The funny thing is that for some reason, I just remember him keep harping on a Jays prospect that was going to be big - Sil Campusano. In the end, he never amounted much to anything really but I just loved the fact that Gammons kept putting the Jays in the national spotlight

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Who is MArty York?? If he still had relevance, he would be a candidate for the worst, maybe even a favourite but he's little more than a punch line at this point.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I like Lott His stuff on MLB.com is often good and rarely bad
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I have a hard time picking between Griffin and Stoeten TBH for worst
Dr Negative Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Not that I think he is the best but I like Campbell in his Ron MacLean role.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I voted Barry Davis because he's an arrogant troll with little man syndrome. But Jeff Blair on Baseball Central today: "I'm not even a Jays fan. I'm a Twins fan."
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 TIME - why isn't Jeff Blair on the list??????

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Nicholson-Smith is my go to. Very solid although Shi usually has more inside scoop type stuff.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Does it both anyone that the Sportsnet media people openly cheer for the team? In other markets that kind of stuff is discouraged. Not really, both YES and CS CHICAGO both have media teams who do the same thing. I don't find in general what the media crew does outside the ordinary. Outside from guys like Davis and Wilner.

The beat writers like Shi, MaCarthur etc... are pretty unbiased in their writing.

Listen to a Royal broadcast they are some of the most homer broadcast i have ever heard.

You got a point. I know Hawk is the biggest Homer there is, but at least he's entertaining unlike the Royals' broadcast.
