what exactly did you do to receive a permanent ban?

No clear answer. Orginally because I said FreeBoxy. And than because o2 said I trash talked him which isn't true but whatever. I don't want to get banned again. I'm over it.

If you so much as pass gas in the direction of Sweden you will get banned it seems.

The song is kinda bad I'm afraid.

They should just drop the whole cometogether theme and let someone come up with a new theme.

Cometogether is their f'in motto you dumbass!

PS - I did like the song but without a mention of Blue Jays it came across kind of generic, the video with it sold me though.

Are you kidding me? ComeTogether screams Blue Jays! That's all you need! This song was written just for them in a day! Let's see someone else do better!

Dude, if you're going to make music, you need a thicker skin.

I'm okay with you self-promoting, I'm not okay with you self promoting and then calling other users "dumbass". Consider this your warning.

this is like a crappy Bon Jovi-Nickleback rendition. couldn't they have got some half-decent local artist like Drake to put out a more contemporary track that's somehow relevant to Toronto?
Posted
I do like the part near the end of the track though. where it flashes towards dickey, cuts, and then goes straight to Bautista and Encarnacion pouring white, foamy champagne over their faces while the singer screams 'come together' in the background.

This is not a Jays Anthem.

The Jays had nothing to do with this. This is just a band trying to get on the bandwagon and getting a pretty lukewarm reaction judging from this board (and no, I don't like it either).

I want to here the HR song, Godammit! I forget the band also, man, it's killing me, the beat went to every dinger this season, well, up to the point where it was posted.

I'm on a mission.

WooHoooo...found it, it was Johnny Cash!

oh ok, good. i was worried for a minute there. we have to make the Jays cool and cater to the younger demographics of the population - I'm all for inclusion of the Jays bandwagoners seeking to join the ranks. Looked like the fanbase was in decline for quite a while there - need some new blood for when this team starts to suck again in 2018.

I left Canada eleven years ago and lived in 5 countries and a dozen cities, so I feel like I have some credence to what I'm about to say - Toronto sports fans are among the best in the world, but their loyalty is often lacking. You look at these crappy teams in the Premier League in the UK who are annually at risk of relegation, and their fans support them for life irrespectively. These fans attend the games, follow the team ardently, wear the team colours, and cheer them on through good and (mostly) bad times. Would love to see that with the Jays and Raptors - that in 2019, if the Jays had a finish like the A's or Tigers did this season, that there are still 30,000 strong each game cheering on the team.

lol you can't compare the EPL to NA sports, they're completely different. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the lower epl teams have stadiums under 30K and only 19 home games.

I think it's a solo-artist-writer type with a small home studio setup. Guitars are MIDI, which is my first clue on that one. Could probably punch it up with a live band, it's really the production that kills it for me.

Yeah that might give it more personality.

why isn't it comparable? if you take the the fanbase of West Brom or Norwich, it's significantly lower than the potential fanbase of the Toronto Blue Jays.

^because soccer is a religion in the UK, baseball isn't even the main sport in Toronto.

this is a very fair point. considering their performances in champions leagues, euro, and world cup tourneys, it's probably also why the UK has one of the fastest growing atheist populations in Europe.

funny side note: lacrosse is actually the fastest growing sport in the UK. i started a baseball league with my company and we play other tech companies in central london. it's catching on quickly - people love the game as it's quite similar to cricket and rounders, so keen interest among guys and girls. there's potential for popularity for baseball here; people are already mad for the NFL and NBA.

Johnny Cash is just a legend....his stuff goes with anything. Never gets old. Well...it does get old, but its still great!

NHL used his song "I Wont Back Down" to promote their season a few years ago. It worked.
