Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Hasn't been formally announced, but I'd keep price on 4 days rest for remainder of season. Have to skip a starter every so often. Basically going to skip Hutch depending where we are in the rotation Monday Sep 14 off 1. @ ATL Burhele - 7 days rest 2. @ ATL Price - 4 3. @ ATL Estrada - 4 4. Bos Stro 5 days rest 5. Bos Dickey 5 6. Bos Burl 4 7. NYY Price 4 days rest 8. NYY Estrada 4 9. NYY Stro 4 Thurs Sep 24 off 10. TB Dickey 5 11. TB Price 4 12. TB Buehrle 6 13. @Balt Estrada 5 14. @Balt Stro 5 15. @Balt Dickey 4 16. @Balt Price 4 17. @TB Buehrle 4 18. @TB Estrada 4 19. @TB Stro 4

tazsub3 Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 will depend where we are in the standing as well. you see, if the old man picthes well on tuesday off the rest, and by end of the week we are up 7 games, why pitch him again on 4 game rest
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I think there is a very good chance Price will be pushed back to opening game vs Bos while Hutch will start game 2 against Hotlanta

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 There's no way they pitch Stro, Estrada or Buehrle on 4 days rest unless it's an emergency

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 There's no way they pitch Stro, Estrada or Buehrle on 4 days rest unless it's an emergency Are you sure you don't mean 3 days rest (ie. 4 man rotation style)?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Lol Burly has walked 27 in 170+ innings Lmao
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Yeah, I don't even trust Hutch in freaking Atlanta. He's done for the yr. Should we clinch early, he can take a start from Price or someone else.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Lol Burly has walked 27 in 170+ innings Lmao Greg Maddux walked 20 in 1997......in 232.2 innings.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Are you sure you don't mean 3 days rest (ie. 4 man rotation style)? Ya, sorry that's what I meant. Guessing I misread the whole post then. FWIW they also wont go with 6 starters. Hutch or Estrada will be moved to the BP before then.

If anything, I think we need to make sure Hutchison gets some work in to keep him ready in case something happens to one of the other starters. Sending him to AAA during the last road trip worked out OK but if Stroman is indeed fully back, perhaps the bullpen would be the best place for Hutchison. He'd be a good long man, especially if Stroman's on a pitch count limit. Need to keep him fresh.
Jayday Verified Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Wat? Why use a 3 character word in an otherwise well thought out informative post, when just a"wa ?" would have sufficed, you need to be more efficient.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Agree ??? How many days off are they supposed to have... Cause they've pretty much been on 4 days rest for their careers... Unless there are a lot of 4 and 6 man rotations around.

Estrada because he's at his career high for innings and has been slowing down lately. Hutch because he's been so inconsistent and good stuff would play up in the pen. IMO Hutch is the guy to move but if you feel Estrada's workload had caught up to him then he's a good choice as well.

fireballW Verified Member Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Greg Maddux walked 20 in 1997......in 232.2 innings. Phil Hughes last year 16 BB in 209.2 IP has them both beat.
