Its high school. A simple doctors note or call from your parents will suffice.

Ya but if I explicitly said that there'd be evidence

Anything in the 120s is even getting gobbled up. There is still some demand.

There's still going to be demand, no doubt. Just not as crazy as before. The market was already flooded with tickets that didn't move before this start time was announced and now people who can't make it now need to unload. I'm sure Friday morning you'll find some 500's for around $80-90 USD on StubHub.

Are you changing your flight in or selling your tickets?

Neither. Im good. Arrive 2:00 Thursday. Just bummed that neither game is prime time.

I'd go as far as to say that you'll see that come Wednesday.

It bothers me that practically half the tickets purchased were done with the intention to resell them.. I know that's the way it works by selling strips and really in general these days, but what a horseshit system we've created for ourselves.

I was pretty incensed when the public sale happened. I understand micro-economics and I get that I had poor luck but it was very frustrating to see thousands of tickets go on sale just a few hours after the public sale ended. While I feel for the big Jays fans that are being screwed with these start times, I am enjoying the StubHub price decline as people scramble to the new market level.

This is a huge misconception and I cringe every time I hear it. Honestly its better for buyers if a lot of tickets are purchased by Scalpers. If there are only 2000 tickets available on the secondary market the demand will be crazy high and prices will reflect that. If a bunch of scaplers buy tickets and the event has 6000 tickets on the market the prices will be a lot cheaper for the regular person looking to go to the game.

That's one way to look at it.

Funny, I cringe everytime I hear that argument... yeah, it's great that a regular person looking to go to a Tuesday night game in August can get a $15.00 ticket for $10.00; it also means that same regular person has to pay 3-4 times that amount to go to a high-demand game to cover the losses on those low-demand games.

I'll take the primary box office prices where the team sets the price point over the secondary market where scalpers look to abuse high-profile games anyday. The discounts people see on the secondary markets for low-demand games rarely make up for the markups people have to pay for the games they really want to see.

I don't think you understood the point. I'm saying if only 100 scalpers bought tickets for the playoffs games you likely still wouldn't of got tickets (100,000 people tried getting tickets for the public on-sale). And then the prices would be even HIGHER because there is so much demand and such little supply.

Also hate the argument about the secondary market charging so much. Would you just rather there not be a secondary market and those that didn't get tickets just couldn't go to the game at all no matter how much they would be willing to pay?

I don't think you get my point. I understand buying tickets from the Blue Jays is a crapshoot, but if I knew that I missed out because 50k other Blue Jays fans were luckier then I was, then those are the breaks. As it stands right now, I'm searching for tickets through thousands of ads for people who could care less if the Blue Jays won or lost but want to make a profit (Example A: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tickets/city-of-toronto/blue-jays-alds-playoff-games-1-and-2-no-fees-no-taxes/1108110452?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true), or through fans who want me to pay for their tickets.

It's not about ensuring I get tickets, it's about ensuring people pay a fair price and that true Blue Jay fans who can't afford $200 for a 500 level ticket aren't left in the cold. That being said, I understand the other side of the coin and people who believe in letting the market dictate the true value of a ticket and that that price is the true 'fair' price. I also understand that this is the climate we live in so I'll stop here.

I totally get what you are saying, I just respectfully disagree is all.

glad to see the prices are coming down for you guys still looking.

They still are a ways off of the magical under $100 that ECJF is waiting for. It'll have to get down below $75 US for that and I just don't see that happening.

I sold mine a while ago for what I wanted, so I'm ecstatic its now coming down for everyone else.

And with all that being said, I am easily going to purchase tickets for both games on the secondary market because f*** yeah, Blue Jays baseball in October!

wow thats insane! There are a few desperate people out there if you time it right you just might get lucky ECJF!
