burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 You're right, that opens things up. I really hope they aren't that early especially the 12:30. Im going to both games and its just going to feel weird if its in the afternoon.

Against LAA or Hous (west coast) teams they won't allow for that early of a start. Against NYY they won't put such a high demand game that early.

If they don't play the Yankees its probably the 12pm start tbh. The way I see it for Friday is: Mets Dodgers get primetime slot given big TV markets. If Yankees make it to ALDS they get 7pm start If no Yankees, and cubs make it then Cards/Cubs get 7pm. If its Pirates/Cards then that possibly gets bumped to 3pm So really its going to come down to having the KC or Jays series at the 12pm start. KC has the same timezone as Hou/Tex and they are at home so likely will be later.
crederer Verified Member Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 They have tv's all over the place in there. You'll be able to see all the replays and everything shown on the jumbotron. It's not as good as baseline seats imo but I'd imagine the atmosphere and everything else will be great. And it's not like you'll need a telescope to see s***. You'll still see it easily. I'm a bit jealous, to be honest. Also, you may catch a homerun ball.

We watched all the games over the last two years, so we did get on the bandwagon before now! But yeah, the hecklers are the best part of coming to the games. We were at a couple of the big Yankee games and there was this anti A-ROD guy. Oh man the things he would say when A-ROD got on deck. Unspeakable things. Probably illegal things. It got to a point where these two drunken louts sitting next to us, basically garden variety "you suck!!" hecklers were just looking at this guy in awe, like "DUDE, did you really just say that??".

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) FYI: I just sold 2 of my tickets to ALDS game 2, section 505, row 7, no view of jumbotron. Got $175 US each on Stubhub. I dropped my price this morning to undercut most 500 level tickets by 5 bucks and they sold within an hour Thought this might be of interest to those selling Edited September 30, 2015 by G-Snarls
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 The profits will be spent on tickets for game 1
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I will start accepting bids with b/o tomorrow on my field infield level tickets (well more like outfield but who gives a fawk). I'm hoping they will go from $300-$500 CDN
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Are we still going to do a subforum for playoff tickets or are we just going to post here and ppl post their bids/offers?
admin Site Manager Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Anyone have tickets for game two? I have for game one. Flights just went up $300 too. Not sure if I'm going to make it unless I can find decent priced tickets for game two.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 No, you can just post it here. How many tickets do you have and where exactly are they? Section 113D, row 9, 2x tickets next to each other. I have tickets to game 1 and game 3 (if possible) for the ALDS. ALCS is undecided yet. I'll probably sell World Series tix too if we get there.

Stive Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I think people might be underestimating the jays in terms of media coverage come playoffs. First of all, if things stay as is and we get either the Angel, or the Yankees I think we have a very good chance of seeing the games played in the evening. The jays fan base is 35 million, more than most states. We are loaded with players who hit the ever important "long ball" that TV ratings love. I'm not saying we take precedence over bigger market teams automatically, but I don't think the jays are surely to be shunned to the worse time slot.

I was gambling a bit when I booked it all 2-3 weeks ago and it paid off.

blurnandez Verified Member Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Last Fri night at the game a fat guy in a "Carter" jersey was standing up and screaming "Long-oria" over and over 30 rows back. Just painful. EL finally acknowledged him and that made it worse. Made his day. Then there is the new fan "the pitcher checking the runner at 1B" loud boo. I love the new fans but that part I don't. Man, at one of the Jays-Yanks games last week there was this guy a few rows behind me in centre field that was aggressively heckling Kevin Pillar for a couple of innings. Just screaming at him in the most annoying voice, saying the stupidest s***, even when Pillar was about to make a play. I finally turn around and see he was a f'n Jays fan! I couldn't handle it anymore and yelled at him to shut the f*** up, and questioned why he was even at the game. That finally settled him down. I couldn't believe it though...some "fans" out there sure have issues.

It makes it a lot faster...if you're carrying on, you can be in a taxi 10min after arriving at the gate.
