RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 The real curse was Hillenbrand curse ( ship is sinking) it was lifter when Tulo was acquired on Shane's 40th Bday. The Jays went for it something Shame had begged them to do in the Hillenbrand era
vdartanian Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Am I the only one who expects something terribly wrong before the season is over? I still remember in 87 feeling like the Jays had a pretty comfortable lead in the ALE until that Bill Madlock motherf***er took out Tony Fernandez with an egregious slide while breaking up a double play. Jays ending up giving up a 2-1/2 game lead in the final week of the season. Appreciate the fact the Jays are playing good ball right now, But no guarantees until the champagne gets popped.

What goes up must come down. The team isn't going to keep crushing people 15-2 every night. Donaldson is going to break a femur or something.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Long time lurker (on both Bluejays message board and the mlb forum before it). Looking at the posts above from Real Accountant and Lil Looper, are we going back to the dogg/zee posts that helped ruin the old board? Others may have addressed this but I just wanted to put my 2 cents in. The is an amazing Forum with very knowledgeable posters and it would be a shame if this board ends dealing with the same issues. /rant and back under my rock I go. The forum only has one mod.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 The forum only has one mod. Not anymore, baby!
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Not anymore, baby! Damn, your e-peen just grew like 3 inches.

Maahfaace Verified Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Wow what a terrible decision to start this thread. Only bad things can come from this. i agree. it should be renamed "the Division will be easy to win"

You are not alone, this is Toronto sports we are talking, collapse is highly possible.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Y'all are a bunch of superstitious dumbasses, huh?
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 So assuming a healthy Stroman and a 4 man playoff rotation, who gets bumped? Price Stroman Buehrle Dickey Estrada Hutch Do you just keep the veterans in there and send Hutch/Estrada both to the pen? Most likely, but Estrada and Hutchison have arguably both been better than Dickey this year, and Buehrle might be running out of gas.

I think it really comes down to who is hottest come the end of September. If things stayed the same, I'd bump Dickey from the playoff rotation.

Even if they are scared to start him on the road, just schedule the rotation so he's pitching at home. He has the highest WAR from the rotation and lowest xFIP besides Price.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Piggybacking guys might be the best way to go. Buehrle/Hutch and Dickey/Estrada might work.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Piggybacking guys might be the best way to go. Buehrle/Hutch and Dickey/Estrada might work. Yeah, but you know there is a 0% chance that they'll even consider doing that.

Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I don't see any reason for this thread to be created before atleast mid Sept.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Hmmmm...if this thread cursed the Jays AND the Yankees then maybe it's not so bad. Yankees loss was more demoralizing than the Jays loss.
